5.5 x 2.1mm CCTV DC Power Female Jack Connector (10-Pack)

Pros: First, the intended use is for the security or webcam. The power point is not where your camera is, so you have to run the video cable together with the DC power line, and if you do not want to cut your adapter output, you use this.
Build quality is good.
Nowadays the auction site normally has better offer, for this, DX has a better deal.

Cons: Can't think of any, of course it can be smaller, a way to lock the jack, etc. But as it is, it is doing the intended basic function.

Other: Value for money, and simply my nest of adapters and connectors.

Pros: + Cheap
+ No soldering needed (yay!)

Cons: - I only needed 1

Other: Even if you only need one they're worth it.. stripping a wire and clamping it into place is just so much easier to use than soldering.. and so much easier to undo as well.

Pros: No soldering, well made connector, no sharp edges, good grip areas without being too big.

Cons: None that I can find on my first use and ftting of one.

Other: Buy these if you need to replace 2.1mm female plug, or want to join wires(will need the matching male plug)

Pros: It´s simply perfect, I used it in many surveillance systems and it works just perfect. Combined with the male jack and a pair of baluns lets you use utp cable instead of the expensive video cable. And you can connect 3 cameras over a single utp 4 pair cable.

Cons: No cons.

Other: Just perfect, it can be used with many apparels since the 5.5 connector y one of the most used for 12 V power supplies.

Pros: When used with SKU: 44708, you have a very solid connection that can handle up to 1A DC without heating up. Price is right!

Cons: Not weather proof.

Other: Use it if you need 1A or less DC quick connectors and don't need weather proof or can rig these to be weather proof yourself. It seems that a lot of toys/gadgets that are battery powered come with these connectors on them, so the potential battery savings by making your own cables and power supplies is great.

Pros: Build quality is very good. Works reliable. No soldering needed for fast application.

Cons: Don't remember anything right now.

Other: Great buy.

Pros: It's well made and cheap. It's perfect as replacement for some electronics of just for some DIY electronics. It's a common size, so that's also a big pro.

Cons: There isn't anything that allows you to mount it on a surface. If you want to mount it, you'll have to glue it.

Other: I used this to replace my external HD, because the built-in jack connector broke. It worked and saved me money and frustration!

Pros: Great little thingies. I use them for various wireless devices (Edimax, Airlive, Dlink) who use same connector. Easy to make "Power over Ethernet" or extending power cables without cutting them.

Cons: No cons

Other: Both male and female connectors are good quality stuff. If you think that 10-pack is too much for your needs, well, you might be wrong. They can be used everywhere ;)
