Pros: i have many flashlights i have modded many with dif leds, comparing this with a p7 is just silly very bright hot spot pure whight massive spill , if you have a light this will fit into its prob got a mce oy p7 in it change to this you wont regret it
Cons: single mode will get very hot if used for a long time but thats the nature of the beast
Other: beam is a funny shape but only if u r white walling in real use its amazing
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Brightest flashlight/dropin I've ever owned
- Has a good balance between spill and throw
- Solid aluminium with copper heatsink
Cons: - Expensive
- Total run time of less than 2hours before it stopped working (over 3-4month period, stored in car, used infrequently)
- Impossible to get to the driver or internals for replacement/repair
Other: Excellent output, but cannot be relied upon.

Pros: Nicely machined, simple driving, no silly modes that need cycling through, memory SOS etc.
Cons: in between sized, needs machining in length to fit Maglite 3-C, and ML barrel needs machining to open up fit.
MC items 8240A11/Flap wheel 60 grit and 8240A41/Mandrel did the trick to open MG to ~1.25" then discarded MG barrel and press fit 1" Cu pipe coupling/cap rear (powdercoated black) into module when (opened up coupling with above flap wheel by ~2 hundreths) Retained MG head, which seals well and CONXALL Micro-Con-X¨ on end of pipe cap. Black Cu transfers heat away very well. Since unit has CCS from 2-8.4VDC I drive light with a simple 555 PWM circuit to dim to 30%/60% for longer runtimes: 2 x 18650 = 20min! its blinding!
Other: good unit for DIY flamethrowers

Pros: VERY bright. Far outshines A D bin P7 driven to 2800mA in Ultrafire WF1200L. easily 30% brigher. nice spot. treads on reflector to screw right into some lights. only pulls 3500mA, which keeps it very cool.
Cons: some machining required to fit into a m*glite (most on the m*glite's end)only pulls 3.5A instead of 5A, but does prevent from getting too hot. still won't leave it on for more than 5 minutes. slight donut on spot, but very slight. funny flood, due to the five emitter design.
Other: If you have a lathe, PUT THIS IN YOUR M*GLITE! if not, put it in some other DX host. 30-40% brighter than a D bin P7 at 2800mA, and that's when it was only pulling 3500mA. what more could you ask for? best yet, it's SINGLE MODE.

Pros: I could buy a ready flashlight, for example SKU 30683 (TrustFire TR-1200 HA-III 5*Cree Q5-WC 1200-Lumen 5-Mode Memory LED Flashlight), but I did not need a 5-mode flashlight, so I bought this module and flashlight SKU 1317 (Ultrafire WF-500 Xenon Flashlight). I was very pleased with the light that now gives me a lantern with this module. At 100 m spot of light is very good, now if that is possible at this site will look for something more powerful.
Cons: There is no!
Other: All goods on this site I get within 8-12 days from the date of reference (I'm from Latvia). Flashligt and LED module came well packed and no damage. Thank you!

Pros: I got this module intending to put it into a mag host. I decided to use the mag for an incandescent mod and ordered SKU# 1317 (Ultrafire WF-500 Xenon Flashlight)as suggested on other reviews, as the host. Wow! This module is brighter than any other light I own other than a big 35W HID spot light. Super spill with great R2 X 5 throw! My livingroom has a 16 ft. cathedral ceiling and the ceiling bounce from this module lights up the whole room! Almost TOO bright to use indoors or close quarters.
Cons: Not really a con, but the beam spill has a funny scalloped outer edge due to it being a multi-emitter (Array)design.
I had to revove some flux that was bridgeing the + and - where the springs were soldered. No big deal.
Other: For under $70.00 (This module + sku# 1317 as host powered by sku# 20392) you can own a flashlight that is close to it's 1200 lumen rating and is guarenteed impress the flashaholics and non-flashaholics alike.

Pros: Let me say it once.BRIGHT. Okay I will say it again BRIGHT. This little thing is strong and very bright. I used it in my scuba dive light build and it has beaten 1,000 dollar light in brightness all night long. I have had it one hours at a time in the water and it continues to work and has not failed me.
Cons: The quality was good but not great. The reflector seems to scratch very easily and after many usage the lens that goes over the LED module clouds up and seems to become loose. Does get hot very fast but luckily I use it for scuba diving so the water keeps it within working range.
Other: Buy one, learn how to work it, and be amaze by how powerful it is. Saves you money from spending thousands for a light just as bright.

Pros: OK... bought this with the idea that I needed to stuff it in my modded 6D mag host. I had the P7 pill in there prior and I wanted more to justify the weight of the beast. THIS IS IT! I know there are better hosts BUT I have my reasons. I mad a subc 6 cell stick that fits in my dewalt charger for a variety of goodies that need power and this fits the bill perfectly. it is a little different in length than the p7 52mm pill and actually... once all was said and done (it did take more grinding) I got it to fit factory perfect!!! I like the whiter tint than the p7 offered in drop in and DAMN if it aint better in spot AND spill... AND...... even though it eats a little more juice... it runs..... cooler? double checked and yeah, guess there is something to not driving LEDs to their brink keeps em a little cooler.
Cons: is not milled to fit a mag... all that fudge about heatsinking.... it CAN be done... however, if I were in Iraq using this in the dead of summer.... ehh, I think Id have problems. however I use this at night with mild temp and it is a mild handwarmer at best. I know the demand aint great... So yeah... no cons for me. I suppose the reflector is a little delicate but knowing that I was very careful. Did not even look at it ;-)....> Wish it had 3 modes LO-MED-H hell, Id even be happy with LO-HI
Other: LOVE IT! not the last one I will buy... well... now that the XM-Ls are out, how long until they show up in one of these?!?!?! same Amps... ~70 of consumption?! then again and the theoretic abilith to eat ~ 50W!!!.. ~4500 lumens.... Hrmmm.... Id better start work on my batteries, and my host.... and figuring out what Id cook with that thing!! :-D

Pros: Bought this drop-in because I wanted more power from my magl_ite, after a bit of fiddling I got a flashlight that was much stronger, like 11 times stronger. kicks all other flashlights I have seen. this 5XCree drop-in converts the dark forest to a sunny beach with the help of this 1200lumens LED and a SMO reflector.
Cons: This drop-in is not made for Magle-ite so you have to file down the reflector a few mm. and mod the springs included in this drop-in package.
Other: A superb light för den händige.

Pros: brightest flashlight i ever have after i made it work on a mod 2d mag lite, using 2 18650 batt.Every body at work really noticed the difference and also the brightest flashlight they seen so far.
Cons: poor build quality but after reading reviews/tips and forums ,i troubleshoot it and made it work after resoldering loosed connections on the driver and wire going to the led's.
Other: can recommend this for mod if you have enough patience to troubleshoot in case of a problem or just buy a flashlight with this module and you would not be disappointed.
