Pros: It's a functional light at a good price. uses only 2 AAA batteries locks securely on seat post.

Cons: weather seals look under built, but I'm not worried.

Other: avoid untimely death by blind motorist and increase your chances of survival, buy this product.

Pros: It has awesome visibility because of translucent body. Two LEDs are directed at the sides but actually the whole body glows. The mount is very secure, too.

Cons: Some care should be taken when locking the lead to have the seal in place. Oh, and the clamp is on a small side, quite possibly you'll need to replace a screw with a longer one or whatever solution you come with. Perhaps my seatpost diameter is to blame, though (30.8 mm).

Other: I've got a few of those for myself and friend and to let some be in reserve. No regrets on my part, this one compares very well to other cyclists' blinkers.

  • Bright, if a bit flimsy

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Bright LEDS with three backward and two sideways illumination. 4 modes..all blinking, 2 sequential (inwards and outwards) and all on. Compact. Should have long run time with 2 AAA batteries.

Cons: The mounting square that slides into the mount was very poorly glued and broke on first handling Easily fixed with a bit of cyanoacrylate. Take care to seat somewhat flimsy o rings after putting batteries in, otherwise water will get in from rear wheel spray. Have to run through all modes to turn off.

Other: At this price, a good buy.

  • Good Bike Tail Light

    posted by rtan84 on 22:31:28 G8T 13/08/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It gots 5 mode led, very good price taking in considereation that here in Brazil a bike light like this cost arround 30 dollars, very easy to install and ro remove. it has a very bright red light, it seems to be waterproof, it has 2 orings, one at each side and the on/off button is made of a kind o silicon rubber.

Cons: you need to take care about the oring while removing the cap for battery change, depending on the way that you open the cap the oring cames with it and when puting the cap to close it the oring needs to be attached very well, otherwise you wont close the cap.

Other: if you want a very cheap and bright bike tail light this is the one, very good build quality taking in cosideration the 3 dollars spend. i´m fully satisfied.

Pros: The light is cheap but useful and bright to use ever day on your weak.
the lights on the side makes you easier to spot on your bike .
It is easy to install .
Also the mount is very secure .
also you change the direction of the light.

Cons: The clamp is on the small size can be difficult to install on some bikes and replacing the battery can be difficult.
Also the water seals looks a bit cheap.

Other: If you need a cheap but brightful light you should buy these .

  • Works Really Well Quality Could Be Better

posted by tupolevrocker on 06:31:03 G12T 29/12/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: At this price, the 5 LEDs are incredibly bright. It is light and would alert drivers from afar.

Cons: Built quality is appalling. The casing is too narrow so when batteries are inserted, it is hard to slide the holder back into the casing. The threads on the screw did not quite align with the nut on one of my lights and got jammed half way through. As a result it is not able to tighten all the way. One of the lights only had 4 LEDs working.

Other: Buy it if you need a rear light for your bicycle.

Pros: Very cheap, safety lights to the side (which is why I bought it)as well as the back, VERY bright lights. This is the best rear light I've bought. Put some re-chargeable batts in there and you'll be very happy.

Cons: None that I can see really, someone before said they were cheaply made, yup that's why they are CHEAP !!! I honestly think the quality is good though.

    Other: $3 !!!!!
    For a well designed
    Side and back
    Very bright light
You're bonkers if you DONT buy it !!!!

  • Cost effective tail light for your bikes

    posted by Samsung5 on 15:25:55 G3T 21/03/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Cost effective tail light for your bikes.
Bright light. I bought it to replace my 3-led tail light which was broken. This light is very good since it has 2 extra leds placed on the corners. This way you and your bike are more viable.
Saddle mount attachment is also doing its job well.

Cons: NOT solidly built. Opening and closing the light to replace batteries is tricky and there is a rubber O-ring running free.

Other: Good product, good value for money but quality can be better.

  • will make you scream

posted by snoopster on 05:28:08 G5T 27/05/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: I was looking for simple tail light - just to be visible on the road, even in daylight. This one gives nice, bright light - three diodes in front, two on each sides. Light is amplified with special bumpy surface. Also, it's detacheable and lock is very firm and easy to use.

Cons: Build quality will make you scream. Center LED was defective from start. Battery compartments are very narrow - not every AAA battery will fit. Also, it's very difficult to unlock and remove lights from casing - casing is very, VERY tight when batteries are inserted. Securing ring tends to fall of on every opening.

Other: If you've got yours not defective - accept some disadvantages, because it's a good deal.

  • good value for price

posted by daveLED on 00:58:35 G5T 29/05/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: very small and low weight. Has 2 submini LED and 3 small LED. $3.19 is a very low price. Looks water tight with silicone gaskets on both ends and silicone transfer pad to internal switch. Some excess plastic to infer with the gasket.

Cons: No reflector. Has white colored board in back of LEDs so it doesn't reflect the light outward. Have Al foil or silver color foil will increase light out put. High current draw (78.1 mA with Alk. batteries) for the amount of light. A NR light put out much more light at 54.6 mA but 3 times the price.

Other: For a very low cost bike light is one to try. The other lights are so low cost try them all. Should show internal picture for better view of LEDs arrangement and size. Should have a 2 AA size rear light. AAA are useful for low weight walking light but should use AA for bike light.
