5-Pin Mini USB Converter Adapter for iPhone 2G/3G - Black

Pros: These are very useful in my opinion, and cheap enough to buy several. These work for charging and for data for my iPhone 3G. Has a little lanyard loop next to the USB connector, if that's your thing. This is the classic "DIY-style iConnector", with a mini-USB connector that is in a soft-ish rubber boot on the other end. Pretty solid build quality and the USB connector has some flex.

Cons: None really, but could be much cheaper if the manufacturing was automated.

Other: If you have an iPhone/Pod/Pad/whatever and you also happen to have a few mini-USB cables, buy 2 or 3 of these! Great to carry adapters like these in your bag so you only have to bring a few universal cables with you!

Pros: Have a bunch of mini USB (USB A to mini) cables lying around the house. God knows where and when I got them from; probably from spending too much money on electronics. Anyway, got two of these dongle and tried synching with my iPhone 4 to an iMac. The green battery icon came on immediately and the tiny charging 'battery' icon showed charging. Then I synch with iTunes and it worked like a champ. I'll probably order a few more. I appreciate the two 'squeeze' buttons to disengage the pair of locking pins on either side. No pushing or pulling.

Cons: Not yet. Maybe waiting a couple of weeks is trying but then I realize they were coming from, you guess it, China. So, all's well that ends well. Thanks, dealExtreme!

Other: If you got several USB A to mini USD cables lying around get a few of these. Beats paying $19.95 for an Apple docking cable. Sorry, Apple! ;)

Pros: This adaptor works with my iPhone 3GS 4.3.3. Just plugged this to my existing USB cable and it allowed my iPhone to sync and charge to my PC. I used to carry a short length of iPhone cable, but now I just drop this adaptor in my pocket when I go out.
The connect fits my iPhone perfectly with side release buttons. The fit better than some iPhone cable I bought that feels too tight for my iPhone connector.

Cons: Non, its simple to use.

Other: This is a great little device for it's price and its simple to use. I am including this as part of my travel kit so that I need not bring extra cables.

Pros: Charge your iPhone at any home. "Everybody" has a mini usb cable at home/office, not everybody has a iPhone cable. I have it in the car just in case I need to charge the phone while on the road.

Cons: It is only in black and I would love to have it in "easier to find" colors...

Other: Does what I expect it to do, would love to have it in white for instance.

Pros: I bought 3 because I travel a lot. One stay at home, another in my car and the last one with the phone in a pouch. I just need a USB cable and nowaday everyone got a least one. I can charge or transfert info when I want.

Cons: The good pros is the best cons too: SMALL. Small enought to use and transport it everywhere BUT easy to lose it too. Difficulte to find sometimes. The plastic look cheap but It works fine for the price that is good.

Other: Got a real success with friends en familly. Works on Iphone 3Gs and Ipad 2 and 3retina. I does not get hot.I will probably buy more to offer to friends or familly.
