5-Port USB 2.0 PCI Expansion Card

Pros: Great Price, AS fast as any other USB 2.0 I have tested, easy to install PCI device, similiar item costs $20 at best buy.

Other: This is the best deal for a 5 port 2.0 USB expansion port I have seen. If you don't have 2.0 USB and get this the transfer speed is so much faster and it is at a cheap price and installation is easy.

Pros: - Fast Transfer Speed - Easy Installation - No Drivers Needed with Windows XP

Cons: - The Plugs are on the back of your PC, No problem if you have a USB extension cable or can route it to your front usb ports.

Other: This is a great card. An excellent upgrade from usb1.1. Must have!

Pros: It works!! I'm using two exclamation marks here because many others don't. I tried three cards bought locally before and none of them was any close (they would make my computer slow and unstable, it would really drive me nuts). My PC is fast enough for me (I mainly use it for word processing), but at some point I thought I'd have to upgrade it to be able to use my new MP3 player. I ordered this card because it was so cheap. At the moment of ordering it, I already knew pretty well these USB2.0 cards are trash and don't work. And suddenly this one did! I have around 6 megabytes per second reading/writing to the 2GB SD and around 4mb/sec reading/writing to my MP3 player. I can't express how happy I am with this card, really. It saved me from spending a lot of money! Highly recommended.

Cons: I am using it with a multi-format memory card reader that connects to the USB pins on your motherboard, so I had to de-solder two of the USB jacks from the card and solder in some pins into it instead. In other words, this card doesn't really replace your motherboard's USB jack that easily. You have to do some work. Of course you can simply use a USB cable and an external card reader without any problem. But that's really not a big deal.

Other: A word of encouragement: if the USB 2.0 card you bought didn't work, keep buying them till you get the one that will work. That will still be a lot cheaper than getting a new motherboard, a new RAM and a new HDD. Pros: I was looking for a usb 2.0 car for Powermac G4 tower and couldn't find one even close to the price here. I took a chance and boy did I get a great deal. IT works fantastic. I just plugged it in and needed no drivers whatsoever for my mac.

Cons: None.

Other: You just can't get one cheaper and one that works. Check out the serial number of the card on the net and check out the prices and your computers compatibility. This one is bound to sell out.

Pros: - NEC chipset works with virtually ANY OS with no drivers needed (except for old operating systems) - Cheap! - Fast! - Works in virtually any system with a PCI slot

Cons: - Build quality may be a little on the sketchy side, the PCB is a little rough on the edges. But hey, who cares? It fits in, and it works!

Other: If you need to upgrade an old computer to USB2 or need more full-speed ports than a hub can provide (ie you have lots of USB external drives) get this. It's very much worth it, and works with almost everything.

Pros: its manufactured by NEC, what else could go wrong? Nothing! If you need a usb card, buy this. at 9 dollars, its a damn good deal.

Other: Dealextreme is the place for cheap great deals.

Pros: NEC is the best usb2 expansion chip you can buy. It is the most compatible and is suggested by usb helper websites. Other chips will leave you hanging. Buy this one in confidence to expand your computer to usb or just expand your ports!

Other: buy one (or two) upgrade those old usb ports to super fast usb2

Pros: Nice and easy to use - just plug it in and works great with Vista 64bit (drivers already detected)

Cons: None really..

Other: Great and very cheap way to add four extra ports to your PC and remove all those USB dongles crowding up the joint!

Pros: Very nice expansion card. Uses little room inside your case. The card I received must be a newer revision as it came with a Tiny BGA NEC controller instead of the one shown in the picture. Includes mini driver CD was nice for older OSes.

Cons: Wish the internal port was a header instead of a connector, but no big deal.

Edges can be a tad sharp so be careful.

Other: Great card, and even better for the price.

Definitely buy this one, its one of DX's gems :D

Pros: *easy to install.. just click and play *no driver needed (didn't had to use the supplied cd) *always handy to have some spare usb ports

*nice internal usb port for a usb fan or light.

*all usb 2.0 ports so fast transmission speed (replaced mu old 1.0 us ports for my webcam and bluetooth kit)

Cons: *none I can think off other that the price

Other: *great product at a fair price.. one message: BUY IT!

*everybody needs spare usb ports!
