Pros: It's a glass optic for $5.
It came with no visible scratches.
Very clear, smooth glass.
Cons: Doesn't focus quite right, although this isn't really the optic's fault. I bought it to put in on my TrustFire P7 light, just to see if it would focus the beam better. It does a little, but not much. That's what I was expecting though, since the P7 is 4 LEDs on one die. Also I expect the focal length isn't correct.
Other: If you have a good application for this, it's an excellent quality optic and a very good price.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Fits 3D maglite.
Focuses beam into tight spot
Cons: When used in a mag-lite, the head cannot be threaded back together completely, but not the fault of the lens.
Other: I bought this to modify my 3D maglite. Used this optic with reflector SKU12229, driver SKU10421, and a Cree P4 like SKU01302 all to fit into the head of my Maglite. The Maglite will not completely thread back together so you should probably avoid dropping it in the water, but it all fit!
This lens combined with the reflector gives the beam a very bright spot with a faint halo out to the sides. It is great for spotlighting the tops of trees and lighting things up at a distance.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Fits almost perfect into the maglite and make it much brighter.
Easy to fit in, just screw the old lens of your maglite and put this one back.
You maglite have a cooler lock every body think you've got a special version
Cons: It's sticks out and beside of that there are no cons
get quick dirty
Other: Buy it and your maglite looks much cooler and shines much further.
Same story here, 500 charachters...
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Fit Mag
also fits WF500 with a little work
focal length is good (about 1.46 inches IIRC)
MEGA TIGHT BEAM
Cons: one was ever so slightly chipped at edge when delivered.
DX wrapped in paper and put in plastic bag
I know they have bubble wrap, they used it on something else.
They know they have bubble wrap, they used it on something else.
What gives DX?
I mean, this is OK for my own light, but what if I'm building something for someone else?
Get with the program people!
Other: Wait until after I stock up to buy this.
and make sure your review is 500 characters...... darn you.....

Pros: For me the best pro is the price. I have seen other lenses similar to this sell for 20$. Fits Maglite with no modification. Makes P7 M*g fire 4x nearly perfect square laser like beams out of the end of the light. Mine will display the shape of the emitter as close a 3ft and I have also shot a wall with it at 30 yards and it still made 4 square.
Cons: The bezel will not screw quite all the way down with this installed. No big deal though.
Other: Highly recommended.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The lens fits my incan MagLite 5D without any modification.
Gives a tigther beam and is brigther than the meanwhile scratched original lens.
Hey: gives a cool look to a Mag :-)
Cons: On most "zoom" levels there's a rainbow colored ring due to the incan bulb. This doesn't necessearily have to be a con but looks funny sometimes.
Other: Even if you don't urgently need it - it's worth a try.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Fraction of the price of a Aspherical anywhere else!
Glass not plastic!
Fits mag with no modification
Cons: Ratles inside of a maglite bezel if it is not used with a reflector
Other: Worth buying just to play with! ^.^
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: A solid glass lens able to be simply installed in a 4D Maglite or similiar. No modifications/additions required.
Relatively cheap for a large glass lens.
Cons: Very little to complain about, as it is a simple object.
Lens does not have full protection due to the shape.....expected though with this style.
Other: A nice simple install in a D size Maglite that will transform it into a better beast. :)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Fits right on 3D maglite. Needs no modding or tooling of anykind.
Much smoother light with this lens, no more dark spots on beam.
Solid glass, not plastic.
Easy way to mod your maglite.
I have led upgrade and this suits just fine!
Cheap.
Cons: None, bit heavy though. But glass is.
Other: Very easy and cheap way to mod your maglite.
All you need is twist topcap off and drop lens in.
Not every mag-owner has thiese...
