When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Pros: Converts 220v mains supply down to 110v. Fine for most small devices (toy chargers etc) This is ideal if you order something that requires 110V but live somewhere like Australia.
Cons: The plug pins are straight so you will need a travel adapter for this to plug into an Australian outlet.
Other: Great value.

Pros: Works for small device I bought from US (I am in Australia).
Cons: Have to use an adapter to plug into Australia outlet.
Other: It is a good cheap Transformer for samll device

Pros: Small (much smaller than I expected it to be). Works without a flaw. Good build quality.
Cons: It is weirdly designed to plug into American plugs. You normally need this in Europe where you need to convert 220V to 110V, if you want to run a device you bought in America. However, for this adapter you need an extra plug adapter to make it work in European style plugs.
Other: If you have a device you bought in Americas and you want to operate it in Eurasia, then you need this. Don't forget to buy a plug converter suitable to your country.

Pros: Works well for a cordless phone I bought from the US. You get what u pay for, the devices work correctly - no apparent current fluctuations.
Cons: It doesn't fit my wall socket, I had to buy an additional adapter for it to work.
The adapter fits only US style wall sockets (weird) - with flat "prongs"
It buzzes all the time (especially at night - when it's quiet ;) )
Other: It does the job, DX should have a different one the fits other sockets so I wouldn't need an additional adapters.

Pros: -Small: I got surprised when I arrived cause I thought it would be bigger than it actually is.
-Does what it is supposed to do.
-Just "plug and play", literally. :)
Cons: -The build quality is acceptable, but you can note it's not that good.
-Depending on the wall connector type you have, it can be a little loose.
Other: I don't know if the signal is stable, but it actually does the service. Simple, small, the price is good and, since there is no shipping, it's worth.

Pros: -nothing to say, works great
-price is like half of price I've seen in US hardware stores
-built quality is good - hard black plastic box
Cons: -US socket on both sides - you have to buy SKU 03529 to use in EU or something similar
Other: If you need it, buy it!

Pros: works great for me sofar on all my North american gagets that were only 110-120v
currently in New Zealand and it works fine.
Cons: you do need a converter to fit to the outlet, but you would need one anyways as there are several different types and it would be hard to pick one. i already had one and it works perfect.
also, when pluging into the transformer, some North American plugs cant fit (when there is the one prong that is slightly larger than the other. a big mistake.
Other: if you are travelin and you need to use your 110-120v stuff, then this is a great, all in one solution to go for. just one purchase needed rather than several different universal adaptors for each device.

Pros: - Very cheap for a device like this
Cons: - Doesn't do frequency conversion. Most 220~230V countries use 50Hz instead of 60Hz, which is what a 110V device would expect to receive. In most cases this will only result in a slightly higher power draw, tho.
- North American connector on a device that uses 220~230V input? What were they thinking...
- The power rating is only 50W.
- Plugs with a wider neutral blade wont fit without modifications (you need to cut the plastic around the socket a bit).
- Grounded plugs wont fit either.
Other: Well, it's cheap allrgiht. And it does what it promises to do. And that's about it. If the cons don't bother you, it's a good deal.
Don't forget to grab yourself a plug converter as well if you buy one of these.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -It is very cheap and small.
-It accepts both american flat and european round plugs.
-It is light.
Cons: -The build quality could be better, the fit with plugs is not perfect.
-The power rating (50W) can limit its usefulness. Be aware!
Other: For the odd chance that you have a low powered device that only runs on 110V and all you have is 220V, then this is a good solution..

Pros: Nice to have something like this around in case you come across some device that needs it. For the price, it will come in handy.
Cons: I had purchased a similar one from DX awhile back for less money, this one is actually worse. The build quality is not as good (mine had corrosion on the plugs) and the voltage/amperage is not constant.
Other: For the price hard to beat.
