Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Works well and gives out a lot of light (invesible light), a good night vision when combined whit a Camera (mobile phone, web ect..)
Cons: They give of a faint red glow due to there wavelenght, but they do give out a lot of useable light
Other: A Execlent diode for DIY night vision, 20 of these with a good cam makes a desent night vision
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Cheap, large quantity (got 21 in a pack). Use 12 to make two groups of 6 to make a Wii wireless sensor bar. It works perfectly.
Cons: No product info. Thin legs. Not as bright in the IR range sensed by WiiMote. The emitted light may have a shorter wavelength as it is somewhat more visible.
Other: A total cost of less than $3 for a wireless sensor bar that works over 18ft. Suffient to make 1-2 sensor bars. 1.2V drop per LED works. Use 6-7 of this to elimiate the need of a resistor.

Pros: Very nice IR LEDS! And also very cheap.
Cons: None.
Other: A great bargain from DX. With 20 of these you can make a great IR light for night vision along with any camera.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Tested a few and they worked. Cheapest LEDs I've seen.
Cons: none?
Other: Get some and try them out.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Great leds for tracking projects using cameras (w/o IR filters of course) , They`re cheap and from my testings they can handle easily 60mA dc (tested for 1 day @ that current ) but i think it probably handles 100mA dc max (untested)
Cons: no datasheet :(
Other: just buy a few and test`em for yourself
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Each one that I've tried so far works fine. They're great value if you have a use for them.
Cons: Nothing wrong with the product itself. Came in a baggie, perhaps could have been better packed.
Other: If you have something to use them for, these are great value and they work.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Produce a fair amount of IR, easily enough to use as a NV camera light Packaged well enough
Cons: You can see the emitter turn on, probably because the IR produced is more in the visible range.
Other: If you need some IR LEDs, then try these.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Produce fair bit of light as seen through my phone camera - Good for night vision applications
Cons: - Heat up quickly - Only for use in close range night vision as the light is not so bright
Other: Get this if you need replacement LED for night vision camera or remote control. You can also use for DIY projects
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very affordable! You get a nice quantity to experiment or build with. These are near invisible under normal viewing, while giving off a bright white when viewed with IR capable devices such as night security cameras.
Cons: No datasheet for this item, the best you can do is find a datasheet for a similar product and hope for the best. Through my experimenting however, they seem somewhat foregiving so far. These aren't extremely bright on their own, you'll want to consider reflector/lens depending on your usage.
Other: These are good fun to experiment with, and for the price, there's no real reason not too!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: When you add shipping, you simply cannot beat this price unless you want to order 10,000. Then I am sure DX would just make you a better offer! I bought 2 packs (40 total) and tested each using my night vision monocular and LED Tester DX part #1133. All 40 are OK, no problems. These seem to be in the optimal range for night vision or IR viewing equipment,as bright as others I ordered from another supplier.
Cons: none. none at all.
Other: If you need IR leds, this is them.
