Pros: The color is pretty. Depending on what surface you shine it on, it appears purple, blue, or almost white. It glows really brightly on fluorescent colors (think highlighters). This is because the laser light, at 405nm, is close to ultraviolet. It spectacularly lights up glow-in-the-dark things, in a way that red or green lasers don't. I've posted a photo and a video here so you can see this.
Cons: It's not as bright as a green laser or sometimes even red.
Other: It's a nice color and has a cool effect on fluorescent and glow-in-the-dark things. If you like the color and fluorescent effects, get this. If you want brightness, get one with higher power and/or that is green.

Pros: - Baltimore Ravens purple! I'd buy it for that alone. - Quite a bit brighter than I anticipated. (I had my expectations set pretty low to be honest.) - Collimated very nicely. - Fluoresce items with ease (such as GITD products)
Cons: - Build quality is a bit 'wonky'. Mainly in the threaded section. I have SKU1997 as a comparison and the threads on this unit are a bit sloppier. Nothing that affects the unit once together, but tightening and loosening the two halves is not smooth.
Other: For the price, it's hard to go wrong.

Pros: Got an amazing pretty color for a laser, must have for laser lovers. The dot is a bit fuzzy to look at and gives a different look than other lasers. It uses AAA-batteries!!!
Cons: Dont expect this laser to be as bright as a green laser pen, or even a red in range. The dot will become larger and dimmer.
Other: Makes a great addition if you want to complete RGB laser collection. Has the ability to light up glow in the dark things and has a beautiful color. If youre looking for brightness go for green or red colored laser.

Pros: - Very Cheap - It's solid and well built
Cons: - Battery casing thread isn't well made but maybe with some oil it will work anyway
Other: Really buy it if you don't have a laser of this wavelength , it is a very strange kind of laser, if you shine it on a wall it seems a simple led , but if you shine it on some surface that reacts to uv you get a LOT of light , also some substances that seems to not react under a black lamp, may react under this laser exposure , cause it's a lot brighter Can be used to check money too, but it is pretty overkill :D

Pros: - It looks cool and unusual (green and red lases are mainstream, but blue ones are still quite rare) - It is not very bright, so one can use it as a pointer at slide presentations - But it is bright, though, and the spot is visible from large distance - Uses AAA batteries - Quite heavy - seems serious thing :-)
Cons: - The spot looks a little fuzzy from large distance. Maybe this is due to this wavelength perception by our eyes. - Could be a little cheaper...
Other: Blue lasers are not as burning as red ones and don't have brightly visible beam like green ones. But they are quite unusual and look cool. That's why I plan to use it as a pointer at my presentations.

Pros: English:
It has a great color, i almost sold it for my neighbor, for twice the price . :-P
In Brazil i`ve never seen a laser on this color, so it`s very exclusive.
You can darken translitions lenses.
Português:
Tem uma cor incrível, quase vendi pra um vizinho pelo dobro do preço.
No Brasil eu nunca vi nenhum laser dessa cor
O Mais legal é escurecer e desenhar em lentes translitions.
Cons: English
The Bulid quality not good, but i really don`t care about it.
Português
A qualidade não é muito boa, mais já vi coisas piores nos camelôs.
Other: English:
if you want a cool and cheap laser, this is the right item for you.

Pros: This laser is the one of the best I've tested. It illuminates far and is very good quality. The color of the light is amazing, it's a beautiful blue-violet. The materials used are of very good quality, the rubber coating is very pleasant to touch.
Cons: The laser eat a lot of energy and you must change quickly batteries.
Other: The laser with the most beautiful color on the market at an unbelievable price. In exceptional quality laser that meets all expectations. If you want to buy a blue-violet laser and not pay much you have to buy this one.

Pros: This laser pointer is really cool! I've never had a purple laser before and I'm really impressed. It's really bright and shines really far. I'm talking super far. It has a really great color. I really like it!
Cons: The point is not very well-defined like the green lasers I have. I'm not sure if it's because of how are eyes resolve the purple color or if the lens is a little weak or something else. It is a little hard to look at especially in a really dark room.
Other: Definitely a good purple laser for only $11.

Pros: Definitely one of the best gadgets on DealExtreme. I've never seen a laser other than red/green, and this particular one is fascinating. The purple dot is less visible than the red/green one (obviously) but pleases the eye very much (except if you point the laser right into it). Made of really high quality materials, the surface is soft to touch and looks expensive and durable.
Cons: No real cons. The included batteries are weak (as usual), but who cares?
Other: A real 405nm purple laser, not blue (445 nm). You should buy it.

Pros: Great and Bright Laser, Changes Colour When Shined At Different Colour Plastics And Comes With A Great Little Box And 2 AAA Batteries 1 Of The Best Laser Pointers I've Bought, I've Owned It For Over A Month And I Haven't Had 1 Problem With It ................
Cons: Makes A High Pitch Noise When Using It And The AAA Batteries Don't Last Long............
Other: Amazing Product, Recommend This Product To Anyone.........A Real 405 (405) Purple Laser, Not A Blue (445 nm)
