What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: When the snow goes in a few months I expect to mount this laser sight with SKU 44686 on my 1928 Thompson, with the pressure switch on the vertical foregrip, and then test the windage and elevation adjustments and the effects of operation at a rate of 600 RPM. It seems to be well built and well finished. The green laser is significantly more visible than a red laser of the same power output in milliwatts. The xenon module that came with it is very bright.
Cons: I bought this laser sight because it was the most powerful one available at DX. This laser is described as 50mW (which would have made it more useful, especially in bright daylight), but the manufacturer has engraved on the front of it "CLASS IIIa". At www.lasercompliance.com/us-regs.htm we see that "The maximum power level for Class IIIa is 4.95 milliwatt .... This is the same power level that is allowed in an over-the-counter laser pointer." So, I tested it side-by-side with a "True Green Laser Pen 5mW" SKU 91, and there was no difference. I live in a remote area. On a dark night both created equally bright green beams through water vapor in the air, and both made equally bright reflections on a rock face 800 meters away. But in daylight outdoors both lasers would need more power to be useful.
Other: Subject to actual shooting tests in a few months, it seems that this laser sight should serve well indoors or at night though it is not sufficiently powerful for bright daylight.
