65-Channel Car Navigation and Tracking Bluetooth GPS Receiver + Data Logger

Pros: i got it is very nice and small , have good sensitive and accuracy , use it on my laptop and my mobile phone (E51). 100 % useful with most emergency software in hard situation. heh i can't write more words , my english is very bad , i'm living in Bulgaria , and my mother language is Bulgarian , so this is great tool for trip and map making , if you need it , GET it ;) very good accuracy between internal module on HTC Kaiser GPS Tracker soft work bad in Vista , only XP

Pros: Good stuff: -nice designed, -easy to use, -small and light weight, -good body-box plastic quality, -bright information leds, -compatible with the Nokia batteries.

Cons: -The power switch was self broking after few turns. It has two small and light plastic ties inside that connects to the power switch. Very bad plastic quality. I've replaced it by myself with the iron ties. -The battery I got was actually died and unusable. Don't know if it possible to change it... -Unfortunately the power charger is for american standard only and doesn't meets my power slots.

Other: The price may be alittle lower. The power adapter may be more universal and suitable for the european wall sockets also. The delivery may be faster a lot. Finally - good stuff.

Pros: Seems to Track very quickly once it has obtained a lock on to sattelites and can be operated on its own internal battery, i use it when wardriving with my laptop and also as with my mobile phone for directions works imediatly with both no need to fiddle just flick the switch pair and your away

Cons: I found that if you leave it plugged in via usb and turn off your laptop it flattens the battery ?? bit strange, i also dont think i ever saw it get to 65 sattelites and it is not super accurate my first one melted in the sun when i left it on the dash of my car :(

Other: very cheap unit wich can have a few uses to a person with imagination. works well as a gps for navigation and for mapping as it outputs a standard NMEA stream wich is supported by software such as googlemaps and net stumbler and with kismet and airodump

Pros: Takes positions rapidly. Works great. You can view your route on google earth with little error. Look geopositioning your photos. It's great!! You can adjust parameters such as time of acquisition, margins, speed, etc. The battery lasts about 15h without Bluethood, with not tried. It works perfectly tucked in a pocket. You can also use external GPS to your PC or PDA, it works great. ------ Toma posicion rapidamente. Funciona muy bien. Puedes ver tu camino en google earth con poco error. Puedes geoposicionar tus fotos. Es genial!! Puedes ajustar parametros como: tiempo de adquisicion, margenes de velocidad, etc La batería dura unas 15h sin Bluethood, con el no he probado. Funciona perfectamente metido en un bolsillo mientras haces fotillos de turista y luego ves donde las hiciste. También puedes usarlo de GPS externo para tu PC o PDA, funciona muy bien.

Cons: NO DATA ALTITUDE. (Or I do not know) The included software does not work for geopositioning photos. The included software is a nightmare. Best used only to configure parameters for data acquisition. ------ NO OFRECE DATOS DE ALTITUD. (O yo no se) El software que incluye no funciona para geoposicionar fotos. El software que incluye es una pesadilla. Mejor usar solo para configurar parámetros de adquisición de datos.

Other: Before meeting GeoVisu + GeoSetter could only see route on google earth, now I can also geotag photos. Excellent purchase. ------ Antes de conocer GeoVisu+GeoSetter solo podia ver ruta en google earth, ahora además puedo geolocalizar fotos. Excelente compra.

Pros: - Boots and acquires satellites quite fast. - Bluetooth works fine in my Nokia 5130 and J2ME applications. Tested with eGPSTracker and GPSed. - Nokia BL-5C Battery and AC-3E Charger are compatible with the device. Also the USB cable provided is compatible with Nokia 5130 (AC-3E output plug). - Provides Altitude/Elevation and Orientation Data.

Cons: - Software included is too basic and complicated for new users. - There is no printed instruction manual, but CD includes PDF file. Also, the manual doesn't explain certain things. - Supplied battery looks cheap.

Other: Is a good device with a really reasonable price, providing the necessary data for OpenStreetMap tracking. Also, works well with various cellphones. A really good deal.

-there is no usb connection option, only bluetooth serial connection.

Other: i think it has the biggest performance/price ratio. but its nearly impossible to use it on different operating systems than windows. one can try using gpsbabel with new skytraq chipset option to read the log, but i find the dualboot option to be the best solution.

Pros: This device is great comparing other devices available in same price level.

Cons: No battery charge level indicator, but it's not problem if you charge it after every use. Plastic seems quite fragile.

Other: Buy better battery sku.32404 With sku.32404 battery lasts about 20-22 hours without Bluetooth connection. Works perfectly with sku.11866 bt-dongle. Code for pairing pc and gps is 0000 BT connection is available about 5minutes after turning device on. It turns off automatically. Data recording starts automatically when you turn the device on. Included software is GPS Track Tagger. You need this software to adjust GPS configuration settings (logging time etc). Its also possible to disable data logging and clear all recorded tracks. Quick guide for included GPS Track Tagger software: First adjust correct com-port [ Tools->options ] according to Bluetooth configuration Then [ File->Read Track ] Route data is stored under program installation folder \Data\ You can import/read this data to Google earth program.

Pros: It logs data

Apparently it uses a standard Nokia battery so you can get spares
It's the cheapest logger here on DX

Cons: NOT waterproof at all (mine is now broken)
Does not output in GPX format, and the KML output is latitude/longitude ONLY (.dat logs does contain other info though)
You need to use multiple software to make any use of your logs (GeoVisu + GPX Editor 1.0232 for GPX logs; the included software to configure settings and clear tracks)
Bluetooth is the ONLY interface (USB is for charging only, not transferring data)

Other: It's a good deal for what it does, but expect to get your hands a little dirty trying to figure out how to correctly use the data logs. GeoVisu is free and seems to work fine. Read the forums below; you'll find alot of useful information.
Also, keep in mind that you NEED bluetooth on your computer/device because USB is for powering only. Get the sku.11866 it works fine.
Finally, if you're going to take this on any outdoor trips, be sure to put is in a ziplock bag or otherwise waterproof case, because once it's soaked in water it's done. Mine got wet on a bike tour and now the bluetooth doesn't work anymore, which makes it useless.

Pros: Very fast shipping !
Pretty good built quality, works very well, in so much places,

Works whit all Original Nokias accessories.

Cons: Whit nokia maps, it dont show where is "radar"
I think there is no other cons.
if you have a Notebook/ PDA / Cellphone whit bluetooth BUY IT !.

Other: Works like any other GPS system, i like it so much.

Pros: I use this GPS receiver with my Nokia E63 (Symbian OS) for car navigation and like GPS data logger for my bike trips. Some main experiences:
- work fine with Nokia Maps and Sygic Mcguider
- position is fixed in 60 second
- google maps works fine too (but there is no voice navigation in Europe)
- saved GPS logs are in KMl format (Google Earth can open it)
- BT is automatically ON after start- then you can connect your mobile phone etc. After 5 minut withount BT conection bluetooth is automatically turn off and only data logger is active (power save)
- GPS log work great in my pocket :-)
- small and light machine

Cons: - plastic body seems cheap :-(
- there is only bluetooth conection (no USB)
- there is no case included
- GPS Track Tagger is not very friendly software- there is no direct export function etc.

Other: Good machine with nice price. It work like GPS receiver with my phone and like GPS data logger too. But body material and included software are not very good.
