What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Pros: A three inch diameter aspheric lense for under 10 dollars! I used this lense in a modified mag light. Installed an SST 50 emitter on a fabricated silver and copper heat sink, made an electronic PWM ballast to run at seven amps, powered it with two D cell lithium ion batteries and the beam proected through this aspheric lense is positively unmatched by anything so far. A solid white shaft of light that shines two to three times further than any other light. Wow
Cons: This lense is just what the Doctor ordered.
Other: use an over driven sst 50 with a siver heat sink, project it through this lense and there is a new level of achievement with LED Flashlightology. Theperfectlight.

Pros: It seems very well built, I couldn't find any con. I've bought for a project of a diving flashlight. Using underwater won't account too much weight but you should consider it's weight for other purposes.
Cons: A little bit heavy, but if this isn't a problem for your project it's great!
Other: I've loved it and it worked well for my project and may be worthy for you too. Keep in mind it is a bit heavier than it looks.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Looks to be very clear glass. I bought one, and it has much, much less molding defects than the one I got from one another place with a word "Good" in its name. Used it in a homemade flashlight.
Cons: It's not perfect, but I don't think, that molded lens could get much better. The outer rim is not round, but has some irregularities, that makes it more difficult machine a tight fit housing.
Other: Hope these lenses will get only better in time...
