Pros: A great multi-tool for that price.
Has a nice Gerber imprint on the handle body.
It is explosive series of the Gerber multi-tool.
The Black oxide finish on the complete tool is of good quality.
the blade is small but nice and sharp.
the plier/clamper is well designed.
the tool like screw drivers flat and Phillips are well designed.
the bottle and can opener are useful.
the punch bar is strong and sturdy.good for tent pitching and peg removal jobs.
all tools are lockable.
Cons: the plier is loose when closed or in lock position...the remedy is to remove the lock plates on the outside of the pin and bend them a little and insert again it does it job.this is a old problem with the Gerber multi tools. mine came with a crack in the plier/clamp area. i have to be cautious for not using it in heavy use.
Other: i do not mine buying 4 against one branded one as if it gets lost or stolen it is not that expensive. i will keep this one in my camping kit...

Pros: I also have an original Gerber and this one is so close to the real thing its scary.
I love the spike!
Great price
Tools lock into place firmly.
Cons: The build quality is a bit less than OEM.
Missing hack-saw attachment. The slot is empty. I guess one could purchase it from Gerber and install it.
Sheath is big. Feels like its for a different multi tool.
Not as smooth to eject pliers. I can flick my wrist on OEM to eject pliers. (Maybe it needs to be worked in)
Other: Going to keep this one in the car just in case it gets stolen. My good one will be at home.

Pros: I won't go into a detailed review because there are already good reviews here. Basically this thing is the real deal minus the hacksaw. I would have liked the saw, but for the price you can't get an equal tool. This is one of the best items I have gotten from DX. The thing took 2 MONTHS to deliver but I have to say it was worth the wait. The real on is on the Gerber website for $191.00 if you can believe it...
Cons: The tool set is very odd. It's made for a demolition expert in the army. I won't be laying down any C4 anytime soon, but the spike does come in handy - More handy than I would have thought. Also - in the event of a zombie attack - you could use it to touch some zombie brain. As a side, The lanyard "tool" is dumb.
Other: Without a doubt this is one of my favorite purchases from DX. Interesting how it is so buried on this site. The supplier is a real bad one, but if you have patience it will eventually come - and when it does you will not be disappointed. Everyone that sees it is impressed.

Pros: A good copy of the real Gerber multi-tool. The multi tool comes with the following tools: pliers, spike, Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, knife, can opener, bottle opener, file, ruler, wire cutters and a blasting cap crimper.
Cons: The hacksaw attachment is missing from this multitool. The file is also not very good for anything but perhaps filing your nails. The tool seems to be painted black and is definitely not anodized. Within a few days of carrying it, the black paint has started to scuff and come off.
Other: A decent multitool that seems solidly built. The spike may not find a lot of use, however.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The pliers are for me the best part of this multitool and a reason to buy it. They are quite big so you can use them easily, however, with thin point for delicate work. Build-in wirestripper is sufficient for my occasional use. Massive piece of metal.
Cons: Considerable wiggling of the pliers. Smaller tools (screwdrivers) are not easily accessible. The biggest con for me is the pathetic knife: it´s really small - 6cm - compared to size of the multitool, half serrated (you can´t sharpen it yourself and it tears instead of cutting), the edge is asymmetrical, it has no tip. Tin opener is really dull. From the look of the steel, I don´t expect it to be much rust resistant.
Other: The spike is wicked. If I want to puncture a tire, this would definitely be my weapon of choice! Also emergency weapon - spike on one side, thin pliers on the other...

Pros: Very close replica of a very nice knife.
Everyone who I've given them to has really liked them.
Makes a good Christmas gift.
Cons: The blade will dull quicker than an authentic Gerber since it's not the same quality steel.
Some might say that it isn't as easy to open as an authentic, but there really isn't that much of a difference in the ones I ordered and my authentic ones.
Other: It's a good clone at a great price.
I really recommend getting one if it looks like it could be useful to you.

Pros: Price Quality Useful
Cons: Knife needed grinding. The slide-out plyers isnt smooth as it is on a genuine gerber.
Other: Branded as Gerber, obviously not, pouch and tool much poorer quality than gerber but still a well made tool. There was a really bad finish to the knife blade on mine so I reground it, easy enough to do with any knife sharpening tool. The slide-out plyers isnt smooth as it is on a genuine gerber. the locks on the plyers and on the folding tools is fair quality and works well. Just as seen in the photos with the addition of Gerber branding on tool and pouch. Very happy with my purchase.

Pros: This tool is a clone of the Gerber 600DET. Gerber Multi-Tools are awesome, and this is a spectacular clone. The overall quality is excellent.
The pliers are easily deployed with one hand, just a flick of the wrist, and are ready to use. The mechanism is open so dirt is more likely to just pass through than to get stuck up inside it.
The black finish isn't bad, pretty durable for what it is, and the inch/metric ruler on the handle is useful for quick measurements. All the tools (with the exception of the C4 Spike) are very useful and are nice to have handy.
I purchased this model and showed it to a friend, who has a normal Gerber 600, and he became extremely jealous. He kept asking how I managed to get such an expensive tool for so cheap. He was literally unable to tell it apart from his genuine Gerber.
Cons: The actual 600DET Multi-Tool has a small attachment for jigsaw blades, and includes a Remington "RemGrit" blade. The DealExtreme model does not.
The locking mechanisms on the actual 600DET are pretty durable, but on this model, the locking mechanisms that hold the various tools in place managed to break off, so the tools no longer lock. As a pro, they only came off after I used the tool as a hammer for a few hours and severely abused it haha
Not really a con per se, but deploying the pliers was a bit stiff at first, I had to use both hands to slide out the pliers. Fortunately, after doing so 15-20 times, they broke in and I was able to flick them out easily. This break-in period is also a characteristic of real Gerber Multi-Tools.
Other: Considering the cost of the item, its usefulness and relative durability, this tool is invaluable. If you're the type of person that finds yourself needing a simple hand tool all the time, this item is outstanding. It's easy to carry, it looks nice, and the pliers deploy with a satisfying *snap!*
I would recommend this to anyone, any time.

Pros: Very cheap, real Gerber cost 100$ so you cant go wrong with 11$
Its actually not so bad for how cheap this is.
Useful for everyday use or camps, hiking etc...
Cons: Mine needed a little drop of oil between the hinges to make it work properly, not anything too bad thought
The knife is pretty small for size but its not dx fault
Sometimes the pliers dont come properly when "swinged"
Other: Its cheap and very good clone of original gerber, if you are like me and dont want to pay 100$ from multitool if you can get almost as good for 11$ *BUY IT* You will not regret. Also comes with carrying pouch that is nice for storing, also can be attached to belt or backbag so very useful for camping.
I use it as a everyday survial tool, how many times you remember when you needed pliers or a small knife, only 11$ and your problem is solved.
JUST BUY IT

Pros: Great little knock off og the gerber DET demolition extpert tool. very passible as the real thing.
Cons: No remgrit saw blade
Finally got a few of them that were built poorly and fell apart at the latch. school must have started
Cheap Gerber logo pouch not like real Gerber one
Other: Real Gerber purist would spot this but for 11.00 buy a dozen and stick em in every vehicle toolbox and xmas stocking you have
