8-Pin Lightning Data Sync / Charging Docking Station for iPhone 5 - Black

Pros: The dock works without any issues. It holds the iphone5 firmly and it can be used with a case or bumper if its not too thick.

Cons: The price could be cheaper. The base whilst a rubbery material still allows it to move around a bit easily as it does not weigh very much. I applied a bit of grippy cloth on the base and now it stays in place better.

Other: It is much cheaper than the official Apple alternative would be however I don't believe that Apple even makes one yet! Overall I'd Recommended this product.

Pros: The dock fits well with ample room for skins around the phone itself. It gives me a place to store and find the phone on my desk, so I remember to charge it regularly. Because the dock simple extends the cable, there's no electronics that fail.

Cons: None, concerning the dock itself. It would be nice to be able to use a regular USB cable, but that would increase the price of the dock (a special chip is required)

Other: A great little desk dock, which made a colleague very happy.

Pros: The dock is cheaper than the standard pricing of Apple official docks, though Apple have said they will not produce a dock for the iPhone 5. The dock leapfrogs the issue of lightning 'authentication' by simply passing-through the pins. There's no need for authentication chips - everything is done by the cable. The quality of plastic and assembly is pretty good. The shape of the hole allows sound to echo up to the listener.

Cons: The dock is very light. This means you need to hold it down when using it. The 'lightning' sized connector in the dock is a piece of printed circuit board in the right size and shape. However, the part is flexible, and it looks like the board may be subject to snapping in the future. I don't expect to own this for more than 6 months without it breaking. (In this respect, SKU 169363 looks a lot better but unsure if it contains authentication chip.) The 'opening' is much wider than the phone, and leaves quite a large gap at the back which forces the phone to lean backward with no support. The anti-slip pad on bottom is not particularly good.

Other: Probably buy SKU 169363 or wait until a version with a more substantial connector is produced.

Pros: The Lightning Data Sync / Charging Dock Station for iPhone 5 is exactly what I needed, and for a reasonable prize compared to the original Apple parts (if Apple will release one?). Feels solid, sits comfortably on the table with it's rubber pads and keeps the iPhone charged and ready to go at any time.

Cons: A little light so it can move around, but not a big problem. A problem is that you can't have your headset connected since the iPhone has the connection at the bottom.

Other: Good little stand for the iPhone 5

Pros: Works with an iphone 5! Lightning port is almost same as the orginal port. Shiny black! Easy to use. Plug and charge!!! Almost like an orginal Apple product.

Cons: you must click in the dock So you can not pick it with one hand, otherwise the dock will come with you. But this is not really a con for this product but for the lightning cable.

Other: Buy it! Don't forget to buy an extra lightning cable. You will need it. No problems at al!

Pros: Of course, the price. It does the job fine and it's nice to have a dock for my i5 and future lightning products.

Cons: It doesn't have the cable component, so another $8 for that (from DX). It doesn't do much good with out the cable other than standing it up nicely.

Other: I can't really complain because it was there in the pictures, but I'll hold out for a lightning dock with cable included.

Pros: Allows iphone to stand up and be easily visible and accessible Great for a desk or bedside table Good looking black glossy finish

Cons: Quality is not fantastic, the lightning connector is printed pcb not an aluminum clip, the base while rubber is not perfectly flat, the weight of the product is insufficient for optimal stability and to remove the iphone without lifting the stand from the desk

Other: If you want a cheap and basic stand for your iphone this will suffice, it is not however a high quality product and wont stand up to significant scrutiny, it does the job, holding your iphone upright while it charges... but not much else

Pros: Looks sleek, works great with existing iPhone 5 lightning cable, product does exactly what is described.

Cons: Not many cons, though I did have a slight issue with connecting the iPhone 5 one time out of the 15+ times I've used the item already.

Other: I would buy this again for anyone looking for an iPhone 5 dock. Also great that it comes in black and white.

Other: Buy it, its cheap and works with a thin case. I don't think it would work with an otter box but with a bumper or thinner case it works great.

Pros: This is a great addition to my collection of peripherals for my iPhone 5. It is a simple plug and charger device that follows in the Apple tradition of "Excellence in Simplicity" my iPhone5 fits in this charging holder even with a thin Kevlar phone protector still on the phone.

Cons: If you haven't already got an 8 Pins cable you will require one, as the plug going into the back of the charging stand is an 8 pin lightening port.

Other: A very elegant addition to my iPhone 5 periferals that reduces the clutter of cables on my desk while increasing the usable space on the desk
