What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Physically, the dock has a good build quality with a solid metal Lightning connector, a decent heft and a nice, uniform glossy black finish. The phone docks steadily with a good connection.
Cons: The dock contains a circuit board that performs cable conversion from 30 pin to 8 pin. The PCB that holds the required circuitry generates crosstalk that puts a variety of pops, squeaks and static into the audio out. If you're handy with a soldering iron, you can isolate the sound jack (by cutting traces) and directly wire it to the male 3.5mm connector. Be careful reassembling the dock as the lightning connector may break when reassembling. If you're not handy with a soldering iron, be aware this this dock will introduce unwanted noise to your audio.
Other: If not for the cross talk issues, this would be the perfect dock for the purpose. I'm going to native Lightning dock of the same style (SKU 177915)and hope it doesn't have an equally weird design that creates cross talk.
