Pros: See other thoughts section. All in all, I dig it.

Cons: None that I have found so far, kind of low that they put the dragon logo on the device to make it look like they are related to the BackTrack project. Be nice if the support site existed, and the manual is in Chinese (not that you should really need it)

    Other: Worth it it seem.

Pros: - Very powerfull, i'm not sure if it is 1000 mW but the difference with the built-in Wi-Fi of my laptop is amazing. - The main chip is RTL8178L as you can see in attached image, so is perfect for injection and monitor on BT 3/4. - Nice dark look with blue LED and dragon logo. - No overheating problems.

Cons: - Documentation is fully in Chinese. - There is a place for a Faraday cage at the RF part of the PCB but it isn't mounted. - No Linux or Mac drivers on DVD, only for Windows. However, you can download these drivers in Realtek's website.

    Other: Recommended purchase.

    Pros: - very high power
    - good omnidirectional antena
    - no overheating
    - R-SMA connector enables you to use lot of DX available antennas
    - sucking mount lets you to mount the device on car window for example

Cons: - takes some time to figure out how to use the full power in linux for cracking wireless networks, but if used just as client, no cons

Other: Buy it, buy the 9$ additional directional antenna and you have perfect wireless cracking set! I fully recommend it... also if you have some technical questions, dont hasitate to ask, for example, down here on the forum... i will be checking it sometimes...

Pros: The main advantage I can find to this device is the compatibility with Aircrack suite. I used it with a virtual machine version so all your base are now belong to us.
I also have used with Windows Vista, with provided drivers, and everything works really fine.
It does not heat as much as other high power usb wifi card used for injection, so I'm very happy with it. I have two of them and probably I will order a third one. Really good purchase this time,

Cons: None, really. Trsut me. I love it.

Other: Please do not buy until I get my 3rd card, stock may run out...

Pros: With my laptopadapter I received 6 networks (1 unsecured). After very easy installing this adapter I recieve more than 20 netwotks (5 not secured).
I'm using windows 7 ultimate 64 bits and had to install the driver from the cd (30 seconds work)

    Cons: Manual only in Chinese

Other: Very good quality for this price

Pros: I love this device, i had a network card PCI-e build into my computer, and i took it out, just because this device is way better!
Windows 7 installed it by its self so you dont need to instal the drivers that are on the CD
If you are using Windows Vista, you should be able to instal the drivers from the CD.

Cons: None actually, this product is close to perfect
Only the CD is in Chinese, thats a bit of a con

Other: Very good product, a must have if i say so.
    PS: i ordered 3 now :)

    Pros: -Arrived quickly
    -Works as advertised
-AMAZINGLY POWERFUL (picks up so many networks even around my house)
-Supported by all the major wifi tools

Cons: -Did not come with double sided suction cup as pictured (and these are really hard to find for sale)
-Probably not practical as a replacement wifi adapter on a netbook as it is a fair size.

Other: A great product, buy it for awesome wifi reception! I am ordering a directional antenna to use with it as well.

Pros: I bought this product because the wifi chipset in my notebook is not all that good (Atheros AR5).
This product contains a wifi IC made by Realtek, this shows up in my device manager for the product.
The pictures don't actually show a suction pad is included so you can make it stick to the back of your laptop screen (as I did).
I have not yet tried using BT with it but I am convinced it will do good at... testing the neighbours' security.
Of course it allows you to have 2 different wireless connections (one for this dongle and one for your build-in). I think you can also make your computer act as a wifi router by making an Ad-Hoc for others.

    Cons: None yet really

Other: This is a great product for those who are in the need for better wifi reception or want to experiment with it.

Pros: Works seamlessly with bactrack 4 (bt4) final (both injection and handshake)
    Excellent reception in Windows
Drivers are very stable RTL8187 (tried and tested chip)
    Windows 7 64bit x64 compatible
Linux Compatibility is wonderful, high transmission mode has to be unlocked.

Cons: USB wire provided is a little short so you'll probably need extensions if you want to place this far away from the computer (say if your computer is in a corner under a desk).
Antenna doesnt look durable so dont take it on and off multiple times
Sticky provided is okay but not the best thing to hold it.

    Other: Buy it

  • Dont expect for big improvement from normal Dongle

    posted by Fistuk7 on 08:26:31 G8T 26/08/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: so I had a normal Dongle and I received few WIFI spots, but only one of them was open, so I thought that with this unit I could get more, so indeed after installing it I saw much more WIFI spots but when I tried to conect them it was not useful, every few minutes it disconnect and than reconnect, so when you trying to upload/download big files, such as sending email it failed.

Cons: so as mentioned above, you will see more WIFI spots than usual, but the connection is not stable, so it's not useful, I get back to my old Dongle and it's much better.

Other: for the bottomline, I wouldnt purachse this model. many disconnections which impossible to work with...
