9-Cell 7800mAh Replacement Laptop Battery for Acer UM08A74 (White)

Pros: Great build quality, cannot tell difference in the plastic compared to the original battery. The original 3 cell battery in my netbook would last me approx 1.5hrs with normal internet use. This battery I can get away with about 7hrs before it needs charging. Also the fan comes on less due to the battery lifting the whole netbook from the back which basically keeps it cooler. It also helps to keep it on your lap without any burning effects due to it being raised. Colour matching is spot on with the Acer Aspire One white. Easier to hold netbook from back. Original slip on case still works with it, just insert it the other way round, i.e. front first. Half the price of the original Acer 9cell battery.

Cons: Bulky and weighs almost the same as the netbook. Can look ugly when not on a flat surface, but have left this battery on due to more positives than negatives.

Other: Seems to be the best value out there as long as you don't get hit with import tax. Not had any issues with the battery, for example losing charge, not charging correctly through the Acer Aspire One standard plug.

Pros: Great price, bought it from here when it was cheaper than other places, and now it has dropped even more.
Product lasts a good 6-7 hours with Wi-Fi... Streaming video and other CPU intensive stuff will drop that down further.
Makes my Acer Aspire One easier to hold.
Charge time, although not worked out properly, is around 2.5-3hrs.
Same type/colour as the white plastic bottom of the Acer Aspire One.

Cons: Weighs the same as my Acer Aspire One.
Big and Bulky but then again does help ventilation as it raises the Acer Aspire One above its normal level.

Other: Better price than anywhere else. As long as you don't mind the size and weight this is a great product to increase the battery life of your portable netbook. Have not used the original 3 cell battery since I got this which says a lot! Originaly case still fits if you put the netbook the otherway round, i.e. battery sticking out.

Pros: This battery is build with quality, I am using it for about 3 months. Capacity is great, no fake. I can use my netbook for 6 a 7 hours, with wifi.

Cons: My netbook is now a bit heavy and the battery stick out, but I can live with it. It is not the faulth of the battery, you know the bigger... the better ;-)

Other: So if you want to use a netbook on a couche, or outside. this is a solution, no more searching for your netadapter.

Pros: Compatible with UM08A31. Received with 40% charge, KDE shows 3 hours of duration, expected more than 6 hours full charged. Same building quality as original. Very good packaging. Helps ventilation. (Raises the laptop a bit). Price.

Cons: 3 times bigger than original, as expected (it's a 9 cell battery) Weights as much as the laptop. 3 weeks waiting for it :-)

Other: Just received it, first test are OK. If you are looking for a good battery for your Acer Aspire One, buy this one!

Pros: If you are on the road often or just not close to an outlet all the time. this is a perfect buy. The battery lasts MUCH longer than the original for Acer One (around 8 hours normal use, and 5 hours for movies). Im am very sastisfied.

Cons: its somewhat clumsy. its basically a bunch of cells, stuffed into one container, resulting in a bulge sticking out of the laptop. I would have preffered a different colour, my laptop is dark blue, not white as the battery.

Other: Best buy i have made on DealExtreme so far.
Definetly worth the price.

Pros: Makes AAO some much more handy, OEM battery gave me only 2 hours of wifi use, so it was kinda useless without the cord, specially at college, were most people had the same problem, so there weren't outlets for everyone, also, if I wanted to go to a café I had so few hours of use. This battery gives me 8 hours of low usage, like Word, and 6 hours of full function like streaming videos, listening to music, videos, etc. It's a must have.
You bearly notice the extra weight, and you get much more freedom.

Cons: It took a full month to get here in Brazil, 3 weeks from DX and a full week from brazilian post office. Despite that everything's fine, can't complain, nice packing, instructions in english(with a few mistypings, no big deal at all) and chinese, just great. Check compatibility with your model.

Other: If you got an Aspire One (mine is AOA 150, look at the bottom , on the orange tag), that's definitly a must

Pros: I bought this battery because my current 3-cell doesn't last me more than 2 hours. This can last me up to 8 hours. I'm very glad that I invested on this battery. It lets me roam around without always carrying an AC adapter. That's the whole point of having a netbook right?

Cons: THe only setback is that this battery bulges out of the back of the netbook. It makes let less aesthetically appealling, but for the benefits you get out of it, I think its a worthy trade, especially when it matches the colour of ur network

Other: I would definitely recommend this battery to everyone who has this acer netbook. You'll find taht it'll make ur life a lot better =)

Pros: First days testing after battery comming. It shows about 7:40 time remaining. If I worked nonstop on wifi (ftp and download) time was about 5:30 + I still had about 10% of battery. Total about 6 hours. Original battery was about 2 hours and after 3 years of using it was only about 20 minutes. That's not for working... This battery was great buy for reincarnate my old compuer :)

Cons: Battery show about 15 minutes to end and computer falls down. It's really big and heavy battery on this small computer.

Other: Great buy for old computer. Very usefull thing.

Pros: You get a one giant size battery. This giant battery contains a lot of energy for work and play. * Ordinary batterylife 6-8 h for surffing and so on. * In more harder use (>80% load alltime) 4-5 h. Shape and size is also another advantage, lifting the bottom higher, cooling is more efficient which also make a one batterylife longer.

Cons: Giant battery means a lot weight. More weight means less carrytime. Also getting bigger battery means that when you charge the battery it will take long with the original 90 Watt charger- well, it is not a big deal. Makes you old Acer so good that you wont be able to purchase nice android with reasons. (is it actually a con?)

Other: Nice battery, gains weight, long usage time, makes a mess to load from "stone" to full. I like it.

Pros: I am using this battery the last three months, build quality was surprisingly good for the price. When the battery was new it had more than 6 hours / charge. It props the net book in a nice angle for writing.

Cons: It's a bit heavy and after a few months holds 4.5 hours of charge but still works fine.

Other: If you have an old net book that takes this battery, this replacement battery will be very useful to you.
