Pros: This kit turns your Asus EEE-900 screen into a touch-screen. Once installed the touchscreen can be used using a stylus or using a finger/nail. I got it installed for over a week now and absolutely love it! This is a not-to-be-missed essential upgrade for the EEE lovers/tweakers.
Pros of this kit:
- Can be installed in the EEE-housing, once installed you won't see any difference (no bulging of the screen);
- The adapter has a build in usb-hub so you won't lose webcam-functionality.
Cons: - The screen adds a lot of flare in comparison to the standard screen;
- It isn't a cheap solution;
- Using the webcam connecter on the motherboard for the adapter (as you are supposed to do) means you have to enable the webcam otherwise the screen won't work. In other words you can't disable the webcam when using the touchscreen;
- There is absolutely NO/ZERO information on how-to-install. This is not only a DIY-solution but also Find-Out-Yourself!
Other: I've been using this for over a week now and I love it! It's quite some work to install it (or at least I think so) but once installed it really adds to the functionality of your precious netbook!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: + no soldering required (in case everything works and you don't wanna use other cables or something)
+ integrated internal usb-hub
+ cables included (also extra usb-cable, external one)
+ driver cd
+ one card, not two (less space needed)
Cons: - no manual (but internet will help)
- kinda tricky getting all cables in eee pc without case bulging or something
- danger of cracking the panel (in 900A it doesnt fit nice, screen case doesnt close on bottom)
Other: ~ i like to see whats inside, so this was kind of exciting to do and luckily it works now...
~ i think, its a must-have, when someones going to mod an eee pc... but dunno if there are better-fitting ones out there...

Pros: comes with everything you need. The included USB hub even gives you an extra full female usb cable to allow you to hook up an internal bluetooth or a flash drive (if you could somehow make enough room). You will not lose the webcam function either.
Cons: Hard to put in! No instructions included, but refer to the internet for help especially jkkmoblie. He has done this with a full video on eee pc disassembly and installation. Could not have done this without his help!
Also when attempting to write on the screen, it isnt that quick to respond, so when writing fast your handwriting will look like a 2 year old's.
Other: With this kit I now have an internal bluetooth and a touchscreen for my eee pc.

Pros: awesome mod for my eeepc 900
DX packed it very well, LOTS of bubble wrap and also in a box.
works great
Cons: none
Other: If you are comfortable taking apart your computer, it is an awesome mod.
I love it.

Pros: All in one DIY kit. Easily navigate web pages and ebooks with by touch. Comes with extra internal usb slots for more mods. lots of info can be found on Google and specific forums. **mine came with the updated shipping packaging it was in a mother board box with lots of bubble wrap.... perfect
Cons: The whole eee pc needs to be dissembled to install this. Touch will ony work when webcam is enabled. If you have a warranty it will be voided when you take the case apart.
Other: if you ever want a touch computer here is a way to do it for reasonable price!!!

Pros: Cheap and functional, fit my eee 900 without mods. came with screen, one board, connector wires and CD. Two extra internal USB ports when finished with the install (one with an included cable, one without a cable - get your own.) Webcam still works after install. No soldering, just plug-and-go. CD had correct drivers, you just have to dig a bit to find them.
Cons: Fiddley install, lots of small parts that my fat fingers had difficulty with. Slow response when moving the cursor with a stylus. No instructions, really had to dig around to find good information. Panel is FRAGILE. I chipped one corner just putting the front cover on, but the unit still works. Had to take both front covers off, and I popped the motherboard loose so I could wrap the extra USB cable around to the bottom so I could access it thru the RAM door.
Other: I'd do it again, it's a nice addition to my eee pc. I'll do it to my next eee too.

Pros: DX packaged it properly, unlike the other reviews I have seen that says they all arrived cracked. I bought 2, because I cracked the first one myself.
Great, easy to install. I thought I have to solder, then found eeepc forum that says in the eee 900a, which does not have the webcam. Just plug it in into the webcam outlet. The webcam will appear in the bios, which was not there before. And enable it in the bios.
Cons: Cracks easily. No instructions on which plug goes to the laptop webcam. I had to figure it out myself using a desktop.
Other: If you have a eeepc or the other 9" netbook. This is a must have toy.

Pros: - The controller board is not like in the photos. It's better! It's in one piece, making it easier to install.
- The controller board is actually an USB-hub! It has a place to the touchscreen, place to the webcam and three additional USB-outlets. Just imagine what you can do with those :D
- Really, this is a plus: no instructions for installing included. There isn't a one definite way to do it. Search for the forum.eeeuser.com, all the answers are there. Read this first: http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=41845
Cons: - Installing needs a lot of knowledge. One little mistake and you'll crack the glass or burn your components. Know what you are doing!
- No drivers included. (but see the Bottomline, please)
Other: - I used this kit for my European version of Asus EeePC 900A.
- This is a solderless kit. Unplug the webcam, plug in the controller board and that's it.
- The display has a glossy surface now, but what can you do :)
- No drivers included. I used these: http://home.eeti.com.tw/web20/eg/drivers.htm
- If that doesn't work, try this: http://210.64.17.162/web20/eg/drivers.htm
- If you have a Asus EeePC 900-series, buy this to make it even more powerful!
- Allow yourself some time. Time to wait for the package, time to study about the installing and time to install.
- Post services can be rough. I had to send the panel kit back two times because it was cracked on arrival. So allow some time.

Pros: The screen came packaged very well apart from some of the protective plastic film peeling a little in the corners, the screen was in perfect condition.
Mine came as one piece as well and included a cable that would fit in a USB port. With a little switching around, I was able to use that cable as the "USB in", connect the ribbon to the "Touch" cable, tape the touch screen to my 900A EEE PC (yes to the outside) and then connect the USB to one of my USB ports to give it a test run before I took anything apart. WOW Windows 7 picked it up right away and I was able to see the screen in action...
Cons: ... except that Windows 7 was not doing a very good job mapping the touches. I couldn't find a way to calibrate the touch screen using the native Windows 7 driver, so I took meiansan's advice and downloaded the drivers here: http://home.eeti.com.tw/web20/eg/drivers.htm
Other: Seriously if you're planning to build a car PC from a EEE PC, this is a good way to do it. Now I just need to find a way to mount the screens in my car and get them to work in direct sunlight... but that's a battle for another day!

Pros: -Works perfectly for eeepc 900 default xandros -DIY-Nice exercise for beginner hacker -Instructions for installation of hardware and soft is in the internet(see Other Thoughts) -Fast and accurate response -Customizable settings using the driver below -With some fiddling it fits the eeepc900 almost seemless -Great for efficient browsing -Awesome packaging! It looks really professionally packaged than my last one. Even the circuit is on antistatic plastic than bubble wrap on my last one.
Cons: -No instruction given(Not really a con) -Too cheap for its potentials. -The TS is fragile like a thin glass. The touch screen is easily cracked. Cracked easily. Weak glass. Thin glass. Oh! and its fragile. -No small sample piece to show costumer how fragile it is
Other: Can't find the one I followed for hardware installation but i did some drilling on the screw hole for the monitor brackets to raise it to protect my TS. I think its on forum.eeeuser.com too. No bulging or anything like that. Software installation works perfectly using http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:kiddshoptouchscreenunderxandros Perfect mod for the "tougher than tough book" eeepc 900.
