Pros: - V-checker A301 is a multi-function virtual dashboard / trip computer which can help the car user to access and check various trouble codes and sensor information and some other vehicle statuses.
- The device can be configured to alert when several thresholds or sensor values are abnormal
- It also has a function to clear trouble codes
- The device’s user interface can be set up to user’s preferences so that you can select the desired vehicle information displayed.

Cons: - On some cars although the interface is compatible it will be nearly impossible to connect due to some software bugs
- This device does not have great support from the producer, although the firmware can be updated there is no newer version than the one on the device
- To update the device you need a special cable which is not included.

Other: The bottom line is that this device is a pretty comprehensive piece of hardware that is very useful to have in you car. The only problems are lack of support and not being 100% compatible with all interfaces although specified otherwise.

Pros: Purchased for display of fuel consumption, after some reprorgamming and two test trip, very useful tool for the two Gasoline Trucks, but not accurate for Diesel (as expected): 2003 Ford F250, 2000 Explorer SUV XLS and 2005 Dodge RAM Diesel Cummins 5.9. Once the 330value was adjusted using 500Km tank-fill tests, the trailer load factor was accurate around 2% and I believe the "instantaneous value": the air intake measures also helped me tune the Fords cold air location a bit

Cons: expect to study the vehicle economy using the tank-fill method calculations in the brochure over 1000KM to "tune" the device. Write it down; the A301 has no memory between vehicles: you always start "fresh" from default

Other: good device to tune up the vehicles economy, modify the air flow, habits, load factor in a truck, night time use required me to find the backlight and contrast settings; the manual is poor, fast & easy to hook up with only the one plug
