AC to 12V Car Power Adapter (90~240V Input)

Other: really convenient for low amperage items. perfect for charging small electronics

Pros: It used Type A plug [China]. It is quite compact and easy to use. Just insert the cigarette lighter socket connector and you are ready to use. The green colour LED light indicate that it is working. The build quality is good.

Other: Best for home use where you have other stuff at home that require a cigarette lighter charger. This is a good to have item and you don't know when you need it..

Pros: Very well constructed, has a green Led indicator when powered on. small profile does not stick out far from the wall.

Other: Just bought 3 more. I love the portability this little device gives me, I can now use my mini cooler for my car next to my bed.;-)

Cons: - No SURGE protection !!! - Cannot be opened with a screw driver to repair - At the DX product page it is not specified the ~550mA limitation - The device is not protected if more current is used

Other: I wanted to plug a mini air compressor that I use normally in my car. The adapter just burnt. The 550mA current is very small if you consider that a lot of devices plugged in the car adapter use several Amperes. Check well before you buy the current needed.

Pros: It work fine converting AC to 12v DC.

Cons: No surge protection and might need a plug convertor for some countries.

Other: It worth buy this a spare as you might need it some day at home.

Pros: It works great for using a car charging adaptor for a cell phone in the house or any other car accessory which uses low power.

Cons: I do not think this would be a good idea to use in any home with small children. I don't think the output could harm someone, but it just invites things to be stuck into it. It might be able to start a fire if tampered with in this manner.

Other: It's a great "for a rainy day" type adaptor to keep in a drawer.

Pros: Very good for small devices that do not come with a/c adapter. Work wonder for charging my GPS (Navigon).

Cons: Lacking surge protection
Not recommended for high powered devices

Other: This is good for small devices that do not consume a lot of power, and no way mean to use for high powered devices. Work great for GPS that does not come with power adapter.

Pros: very nice for testing car things I use mine to power leds with resiters

Cons: power is really like 13v or a little more so my leds get a little hot
