Pros: Little lamp. Light too. Fits ev'ry pocket. You'll just forget it's even there....'till you need it ofcourse.
It's pretty bright on a 14500 battery. I was amazed to see it compared to my work torch powered by 2x CR123 and modded to fit a Cree R2 Module (SKU 11836). Ofcourse that one is brighter and has a better trow, but not as much as I had expected.
There are glow-in-the-dark o-rings on all joints, so I suppose it's waterproof to some extend.
There are 5 modes: High, middle, low, stobo and some strange signal that DX calls SOS. Which it isn't! SOS is ...---...
This lamp does ...--- so this mode is absolutely useless. But who would use it anyway? The lamp does have a memmory. If you turn it off in high, it will be in high when you put it on again. Changing modes is easy; you put it on and push the clicky half way to change to the next mode. There is also a (removable) clip on it
Cons: I hate clips, cause they tend to get in the way, but if you remove it from this one, the lamp keeps rolling away. There is no flat side on this lamp.
Other: I love it! It's bright, light, feels sturdy, joints fit fine and are sealed really good. Clicky feels firm. Even with a very commonly available AA battery (rechargeables too) it works fine.
What else could you want for this money?
GREAT PRODUCT!

Pros: i bought this as a upgrade from my MTE SSC-P4 42180 AA light. the size and shape is very similar. the high mode on this one is way brighter. the medium seems just a bit brighter, but the MTE has more spill. so i compared the runtime on these levels. the MTE was dimming at 1:40, and the K-106 was still going strong until 2:40. huge difference in runtime.
Cons: like the reviewer below said, it is actually SOSOSO... and not SOS, but in an emergency i think people would understand it. the only real con i can see is that the metal wire clip might break easily?
Other: excellent light. i havent even tried 14500 batteries since i dont have any, but using a AA it seems incredibly bright to me.

Pros: Ridiculously bright Q5 emitter. with 14500 batteries. Near-perfect beam, one of the best I've seen from a Cree with minor imperfections. Awesome build quality - no flaws whatsoever in mine, built FAR better then my Minimag LED. Solid, with no rattle yet fairly lightweight. Glow in the dark rings\switch a nice touch. 6 modes perfectly implemented.
Cons: Light gets slightly hot during use. Clip isn't as nice as some others. So small it gets lost fairly easily.
Other: If your looking for a powerfull smallish light sub-40$, get this light. Every person I showed it to was amazed at the brightness. The hotspot is fairly large but very, VERY bright. Made the mistake of looking into it when I first turned it on - the spots didn't fully clear up for hours. It lights up a wide swath the forest 100+ feet from my doorstep, bright enough to pick out small animals like rabbits and our cat in the middle of the night. Runtime is great on the 14500 batteries; for 12$, you can get a charger and a 2 pack that will last a long time.

Pros: - Very bright on AA ( not brighter than Romisen RC-G2 @ sku.7880, but who cares - it's not a thrower ) - Build quality - GITD orings and tailcap - Regular and easy-to-cary shape - Comes with a pocket clip - Simple ans easy to use 5 modes - HIGH>MID>LOW>FAST STROBE>SOS ( not "SOSOSOSOS", but "SOS" :) - GITD tailcap is hell brighter that this green which you can boy on DX
Cons: - Dry threads ( need oiling ) - Pocket clip rattles ( I've fixed it with a tube that changes its shape after heating with a lighter etc - now it's really tough and stays in its place ) - Cree emiter was really hard to disassemble due to dry threads
Other: Great AA EDC light. It replaced my Romisen RC-G2 @ sku.7880 cause it has to narrow spot which was a little bit annoying while walking around the house and garden etc. AKOray is a little bit dimmer than Romisen RC-G2, but that's not a problem for me. It's even better since I do not need a thrower for my EDC; Romisen stays always in my backpack, however.

Pros: * Uses AA battery (Currently only using Duracell Procell AA) * Extremely bright LED. It is brighter than both a Maglight 6 D-cell (Old Skool flashlight) and a Coast LED Lenser 3-AAA. * Multi-Mode is handy you can throttle down to lower power to conserve battery. Strobe is interesting. Switching between modes is easy and it remembers the last mode used. * Fit-and-finish is excellent. * Nice coating and color. * Size is good both in the pocket and in the hand.
Cons: * Switched on once but no light, clicked switch again and worked fine. Could be because the switch is inset and could be clicked partially? * Clip could be a little weak, but it works fine for securing in a pocket.
Other: If you want a small bright LED for an good price the Akoray K-106 is an excellent choice. It would be impossible to find anything that could touch it for price and performance at a retail store in the US.

Pros: - Price
- Size
- Build Quality
- Brightness
- Clicky modes
Cons: - Size might be TOO small (easy to lose).
- No gift box.
Other: You will not be disappointed with this light. My friends have flashlight envy!!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: + Powerfull beam, does look ~200-230 lumens!
+ Nice machining w/ slightly striked square knurling (looks cool)!
+ Flawless anodizing, w/ nice color
+ Throws quite far (>200m)
+ GID O-rings and tail cap are a plus and look cool.
+ It's waterproof! (tested on shallow water)
Cons: - Didn't work with 1.2v NiMH or 1.5v Alcalines
- Button was a bit receded, making it a bit hard to press with the thumb.
- Tint was slightly purplish, but not annoyingly so.
Other: Relatively inexpensive light for everyday use, easy to carry around and very bright!
A friend of mine saw it and bought one for himself just a few minutes after! :)

Pros: Much brighter than my SF E2L! Perfect shade of white with no blue or yellow tint. Slightly bigger than a tube of Chapstick. The strobe effect is.....effective!
Cons: What's up with the reverse clicky? The switch on my SF allows you to press in slightly for momentary and all the way to click on. Would this be so hard DX? However, the switch is firm and definite. Works fine.
Other: For my first DX purchase, I am very impressed. You have to be patient with the overseas shipping and able to live with the reverse clicky. Otherwise, this light is unbeatable for the price. Go ahead and invest in the charger/batteries. You won't be disappointed!

Pros: Light is very good quality. Machining is clean and precise and a nice glass lense. Very nice greenish/bronzeish finish. Q5 LED is bright, but not as bright as my FENIX L2D with the same Q5. Works great with a regular AA battery. There's a glow ring on the inside head of the light...it's a nice touch. It can tail stand.
Cons: Definitely not 230 lumens as my FENIX L2D looks brighter than this one and it's rated at 180 lumens from FENIX themself. So this one is probably 170-160. As mention before, the memory only works if you leave it off over 30 seconds, or else you will jump to next mode if you turn it back on too soon. No lube on the o-rings. The belt clip makes it look cheap, but works fine. On high mode, the light gets a warm very quickly. But still ok to hold with bare hand. Size is really small and tail button is recessed in, so if you have a big hand and large thumb, this might not work as well for you.
Other: Good cheap light with bright output but only last 1 hour on high mode. If you're looking for something that you use only once in a while, then it's perfect. But if you need a light that you use daily, this is not the one.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The small size make this flashlight very handy and look cool and in the same time it is have incredible light. It throws quite far away. Multiple modes are useful. Very good beam.
Cons: Powerfull beam, does ~220 lumens only with a battery with lithium elements.
Other: Best light for the money. Good quality, looks great. If you buy one, you won't be disappointed.
