All Weather Safety Whistle

Pros: -Has a Compass and a Thermostat on either side of the whistle. -It is loud enough to get attention and be annoying.

Cons: None that I could find.

Other: If you need an inexpensive whistle this is good enough. I will take it when camping just in case I need any of it's three functions.

Pros: Plenty loud enough & apparently quite durable. Both compass & thermometer work reasonably well. String/cord attached is an extra plus.

Cons: Ordered 2. One had extra glue on a couple of spots of the compass while the other seems to have bitten by someone (a return?). No biggie.

Other: If this were a $5.00 whistle then it would have received a 3-star rating from me. However, considering the sturdiness & overall function as well as that fantastic price, it was given a 4-star rating. Buy at least 2. We did!

Pros: The whistle is plenty loud & is durable as well as weather resistant. The small compass is amzingly good, pointing within 5 degrees of where it should. Even the tiny thermometer is pretty close to being spot-on accurate!

Cons: A bit of extra dried glue on one of the two whistles we ordered, but not really in a bad spot. Just a tad unsightly. The compass needs to be well away from any other magnetic metals to function properly.

Other: Another amazing bargain from DX. These would also make great little gifts too... & they could just boost you over the next ten dollar mark & get another redeemable DX point (it worked for us!). Very useful.

Pros: Surprisingly good little whistle. On these things the compass almost never works. Despite being shipped with "rattlesnake magnets" and the "rare earth magnets", the compass still works just fine. I have my doubts about the thermometer, but that's no surprise. It works well.

Cons: Questionable thermometer

Other: Good product, cheap price.

Pros: Works well for intended use , great price, loud enough to be used in an emergency situation. Compass and thermometer both seem to work well enough to be useful.

Cons: None

Other: Build quality very good for the price paid.

Pros: Whistle sound is very loud. Kids love how the whistle looks like. The thermometer in both whistles I ordered shows approximately (1 degree error) right temperature.

Cons: The compass in both whistles is completely useless, it does not point to North. Both point to different direction :-)

Other: Good toy to be ordered for kids.

Pros: Comes with thermometer and compass.
Weatherproof.
Whistle is fairly loud.
Comes with a long string so you can either hang on your neck or tie it to your bag.

Cons: Build quality is not very refined, but still acceptable for a whistle.
Thermometer does not have celsius reading, only fahrenheit (a con for me but probably not for others).
I found some foreign object inside the thermometer. Dirt?

Other: Get it. It's worth the money. Add it to your cart to hit the $10 mark. Or use your points to redeem.

Pros: It works first and formost (that is the whistle works). It's loud and "warples" because of the bead inside. The thermometer works, but keep in mind that it is in Centigrade. The compass MARGINALLY works to see north in a general sense.

Cons: It is a LOT bigger than I in-visioned. I bought this as a for a survival kit and though I still have it in there it's very large for the last ditch case it is designed for. The compass can't be used as a navigation tool, but anyone who is buying this for that purpose should look elsewhere anyway.

Other: Pretty cheap, but if you are looking to use it as just a whistle for about the same price you can get MUCH lower profiled whistles.

Pros: Cheap, and useful. I provide one of this to my sons qhen we go to the mountain for safety.
Is one thing that they can carry, and qhen they are in a trouble can use it to ask for help.

Cons: A little big.
Com pass and thermometer aren´t very exact.
Are a toy compliments, but not for navigates whit it.

Other: I bought similars items for more than i pay for five of this, provably it will be more fragil but i have five to replace.

Pros: - Does its job (it's a whistle, eh?)
- Very loud sound
- Easy to use
- Fair price

Cons: - Mine isn't as "light" green as the product in the photo (it's a lot darker)
- The compass isn't that useful (though I checked with my GPS; it doesn't show totally wrohng but still I wouldn't trust it 100%), same goes with the thermometer. They don't bother but could've been left out

Other: If you like sporting outdoors, this product is a good choice for you. Does its job properly though all of its features aren't 100% useful or reliable.
