Aluminum Cooler Heat Sink Chipset for RAM Memory - W Type (8-Piece Set)

Pros: - build quality is, unlike the photo, very good.
No sharp edges, nice polished Al heatsink.
- just clean your chip and stick it firm with the self-adhesive tape!
- tape is very thin, so hopefully no big heat resistance
- seems to dissipate the heat very effectly, especially with a fan on top...

Cons: - DX mentions "comes with clips". This is not true. You have to stick it on the memory with the supplied tape. Hopefully it will keep on sticking for a long time....

Other: If you need cooler RAM, this is the item you need; very easy to attach, but to be sure it will stick for a long time clean your RAM surface with some isopropanol or alcohol.

Pros: - They have a lot of metal prickles so these heat sinks are good thermal conductors. - Polished surface, not a poor product! - Comes with adhesive tape on the bottom wich fixes the sink very well. - Easy to setup anywhere. Many opportunities of application. (PC, XBOX, etc.) - Good price for eight pieces. I didn't find under 5 dollars in my homeland.

Cons: There aren't any cons.

Other: These are good quality for the money, they are cheap, they noticeably cool my laptops ViDocks video card. If you need something like these and know what they are for, buy them.

if you need ram heatsinks these would be ok, but if possible get copper ones. copper is a better conductor than aluminium

Pros: This is a well made heat sink with 3M stickers on the bottom. I'm not using them for RAM chips but for some electronic components that need to be kept cool and they really work great. I suppose that they can do the same job on RAM chips without any trouble since the fins are really well machined and the adhesive used for the heat transfer is probably good since it is made by 3M.

- Can be used for other projects that need a heat sink.

Pros: -Cheapest price on the Internet -3M adhesive! Sure they won't fall off if you clean the chips carefully and press them hard when you install them -Same as the Zalman ones but in natural aluminium color (Zalman ones have another type of adhesive) -Do a great cooling job on VRAM, RAM, VRM and other chips -Low profile

Cons: -not copper (cheap copper ones has low fins, I don't like them)

Other: Just buy them if you need them :)

- Very universal; you can use them on many different small components that require better heat dissipation

Keep in mind that these are often unavailable in stores, so if you think you'll need them you should definitely get them.

Cons: They are a little big for what i wanted to use them , but it's my mistake because i did not have the electronics at the time i got this.
I wanted to put them on the Pololu A4988 Stepper Driver , it's 4 boards that goes on the RANPS electronics.
I will used them for other electronics projects that i have.

Other: Worth buying but check that the size is good for your electronics.
If you want to keep electronics chips cool this is the product for you.

Pros: These are awesome! i have a computer i leave on for months just to download stuff, i used these heatsinks not only for my ram, but for several motherborad chips, hard drive chips and lots of stuff in the computer. It helps a lot with the cooling

Cons: No cons. Maybe the size. that it is very small, but it is perfect for the ram chips. If you are planning on putting it somewhere else ou can just put two of them
