  • Quick 3.3V regulator modules

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Works. Small ready to run 3.3 V regulator for microcontroller or other logic. Known chip with good data and clear markings. Decent looking board.

    Cons: Received ones are different than product picture with the pin order reversed. So, with ground downwards inputs are on the right and outputs are on the left. OTOH putting it face down on a breadboard puts the feng shui back in logical order. :) Someone also decided to use a warning light (red) as a power good indicator, probably for the threshold voltage and light output.

    Other: Simple way to get regulatred 3.3 V for prototypes quickly so handy to have around.
