What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Excellent quality, with no extra bits of metal or sharp spots. Accurate to 0.02mm, and can easily be zeroed by rotating the bezel around the dial. The case it comes in is well padded, and the calipers are nicely oiled.
Cons: None really, except that maybe the ugly yellow case it comes in could look nicer.
Other: Cheapest equivalent product (almost looks the same) is about $35 around here. Way better deal from DX, as usual!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: A well built robust dial vernier that will be really useful around the home and in the workshop. Cheap enough to not worry about losing or having others "borrow", and as accurate as a far more costly Moore and Wright Caliper (one that I cannot afford to use as a "workshop tool" because of the replacement cost. Definite very good buy in my opinion
Cons: The selotape residue and labels on the case were a headache to remove. Also the dial (when originally inspected) was miles out on the zero point. Not a major problem - DCs are easy to adjust up and it was a five minute job to get the needle pointing "up" rather than at 120 degrees to "up". A bit of a rough mechanism - however Brasso and WD40 fixes that just fine. Worth a good clean up and lubricate with a good quality Instrument Oil, then it should last decades.
Other: Does the job just fine - and for an affordable price. Case has real metal pin hinges (not easy-break flexi plastic), so should last years. With modest care of the measuring faces this tool will provide a lifetime's work for a hobbyist. Definitely a VERY GOOD BUY!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - It's quite cheap, even though it is not the best one avaible in the market.
- It's easy to use. It has 3 wheels: one fix the indicator, the other fix the position and the other allows you to move softly.
- It's very useful. May not have an extreme precision, that's enough for make at your own works.
- Good build wuality.
Cons: - Mine came too greasy. It is recomended to keep it oiled to preserve it, but i had to remove some any way.
- Depth measuring tip may be to thick to fit inside some holes.
Other: Great choice!!
