Aquariums Digital Water Thermometer with Waterproof Remote Sensor

Pros: -small
-good quality build
-nice looking
-pretty good price as compared to the 3$ one i would have to pay for a analog one that sticks on the glass or the glass one that goes into the tank with the red liquid in it.
-much cooler than a regular aquarium thermometer

Cons: There is only ONE problem is that since the display part of the device is suctioned cup to the outside of the tank it tends to fall off every now and then but if you lick the back and stick it problem solved. The probes suction cup thats inside of the tank stays suctioned.

This isn't really a problem anyways.

Other: Buy it! Believe me if your looking for an aquarium thermometer or just want a digital one, then buy it. I promise you wont be disappointed.

Pros: Waterproof sensor that can be submerged in fish tanks and aquariums. Seems to be well built and has suction caps on both the sensor end and the display so you can stick it to any smooth surface. Suction caps seem to be very strong and durable. It has a switch to change between °C and °F.

Cons: It's quite slow to update so it's not very useful for my purposes (monitoring temperature for black and white photography chemicals). It seems to only update the temperature every 10 seconds so you have to be careful to let the temperature settle before you decide what to do.

Other: Get it if you need a simple thermometer to give you a rough idea of temperature and the application isn't real-time dependent.

Pros: Actually works, built quality acceptable

Cons: Slows in updating the temp, not sure if it is accurate thou. Might check it out with another digital termometer if i have the time!

Other: Its cheap. Go get it. Useful in keeping track of tempreature. Important for the overall well being of your fishes or whatever you may have in your tank! Small price to pay as the fishes in the tank could easily cost much much much more than the item itself!!

Pros: Well not much to say, it works, has long cable. Updates its self, an give you a correct measurement. I have tested this and a analog thermometer and they came out the same!

Cons: Its slow, uses about 10 to 15 sec to update the temperature... For use in aquarium its perfect! It has a cheap plastic fealing but this isnt something i care about....

Other: Go buy if you need a a digital thermometer!

Pros: I bought this piece to use in my fresh water aquarium and I must say that I was very surprised to see the measurement Accuracy of the device! I compared the display results with 2 mercury Thermometer and the result came back the same.

Cons: The only con that I found that several users have pointed out was the fact that it had slow reeding's in temperature changes, but in fact in a aquarium this is not relevant, no aquarium drops several degrees in temperature in 10 to 20 seconds

Pros: Cheap, comes in retail packaging. Claims to be waterproof (not tested).

Cons: I was using this as a temp sensor for the inside of my beer fridge where I have a keg setup for home brewing. The thermometer was never submersed in water (although it says waterproof) and after a couple of months the LCD display went faulty and the middle section is blank, which effectively makes it unreadable and now useless. The build quality looks decent enough but is not as good as the others I have bought from Jaycar Electronics.

Other: Maybe you'll have better luck than me but I won't buy this item again.

Pros: Bom produto, com um bom custo benefício, tendo em vista que um produto parecido aqui no Brasil custa bem mais que isso. O cabo do sensor tem um com comprimento, a ventosa fixa com segurança.

Cons: Produto honesto, porém, faltou uma iluminação no display (mas, seria querer muito, pelo valor do produto) e a ventosa, apesar de fixar com segurança, as vezes deixa o produto desalinhado.

Other: Excelente custo benefício, recomendado para quem quer um termômetro simples.

-Has a professional look to it, (doesn't look cheap)
-Accurate temperature readings
-Ability to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit
-Comes with 2 Suction cups, one for probe inside tank, and one for the unit outside of the tank
-Really cheap compared to what you would pay for a similar unit at the store.

Cons: About an 8 second delay between changing temperatures on the screen. However this isn't really a con because for an aquarium you don't need instant temp.

Other: Bottomline is this is a good looking, well working digital thermometer that can be used for a variety of different things. You can buy a bunch of these for the price of 1 in the store. You cant go wrong.

Pros: I am in Canada. -fairly accurate in comparison to old school floating thermometer. -long probe cable -can switch between F and C display -cheap in comparison to the exact same thermometer selling retail locally.

Cons: -suction cup is made of cheap plastic and will turn white and lose flexibility. Suction ability will be gone eventually and you should plan on replacing the cups after a few years. -as it says the LCD display IS NOT waterproof. Would be nice if it was. -The wire that goes to the probe seems to be lacking flexibility... but if you dont move it around a lot its not an issue.

Other: If you dont like the internal thermometer like SKU 15638 then this is a great alternative. The 3 I have left have worked awesome. Its a great buy compared to retail.
