Pros: The Price is really good , and works as expected . · Has a protective circuit , so you can connect an Arduino in his input connections . · It can switch until a 10A charge , in 220V AC or 30V DC. More than enough for a common Arduino application.
Cons: None , really.
Other: I'll buy more, if needed .
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very easy to use. It has all components needed. Is like plug and play. 10A at 250v. High quality, both componets and board.
Cons: Nothing really important.
Other: It's really a good deal, because it has a low price. Just the relay is about 1$, with the other components, is almost cheaper to buy the module than assembly it by yourself. Very recomended.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This relay comes nicely mounted on a board, with apparently electrically isolated wiring so that mains voltage can't explode you and your Arduino. I found it very easy to wire up and get working, just using the blink example. I wired it up using information from the previous reviews here.
Cons: There are no cons to this really, as it's cheap and nicely presented and comes with board holes so you can mount it inside an enclosure. The only thing that I wasn't 100% sure of was the under-board soldering. Beneath the mains output pegs there appears to be solder holding the mains circuitry onto the board. After wiring it up with non-mains voltage, I checked the output on those solder points and found there to be no current coming through the solder points, which is good. However, others in the forum have indicated that mains voltage will come through these. Regardless, if I'm using this with mains voltage, I'll have it in a little enclosure.
Other: Super-cheap for what it is, the relay alone costs more than this from my local maplin, and it doesn't come all nicely prepared. I would definitely buy more of these if I need them.

Pros: It's very cheap. In my country it's more cheaper that buy just the relay in a local store. Works perfect WITHOUT Arduino. I use it to switch on/off one external HDD with the +5V from the USB. Has a protective circuit so I don't need a diode, just connect it to the usb cable from SKU 48933 and works!
Cons: None for me, but I haven't use it in an Arduino project.
Other: Check also other Arduino modules. If you can use it standalone, it's cheaper than assembly the components by yourself.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Does exactly as expected and actually much smaller than I expected. The slots to connect the power line you wish to control are close together though, so keep this in mind.
Cons: The LED on the board is extremely bright. I didn't think I would have to do this, but I might just have to wrap each one of these in some electrical tape. At night whenever my Arduino turns on the relay for the A/C unit, the whole room lights up.
Other: Definitely purchase these if they can handle the current you will be drawing!

Pros: For the price of a bit more than a relay, you get a relay installed on a board, with the standard support circuit (flyback diode, transistor to amplify the current from the microcontroller, an LED to indicate it's on, and a resistor.) Google "arduino relay" for more info. The relay will switch AC or DC current.
Cons: None, this is very handy to have.
Other: Nice time saver!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Worked perfect. Cheap and very small, all the components needed to make the relay component works are included in the module so you don't need anything else. Perfect for you DIY projects where space is limited.
Cons: The red light that is turned on when the relay is "activated". Prefer to not have it as it requires me to modify the module/enclose to hide it. A bit annoying.
Other: Arduino DIY entushiast

Pros: Tiny module - fits in any small Arduino project. Pinout is on the board: +, _ and steering signal in. Outlets selectable NO or NC. One red LED shows the ON status of the coil. Damper diode is present, together with a transistor and some R.
Cons: Make sure the coil gets 5 VDC and you must hear the relay if it pulls in. If it does not make sound- the 5 V is lacking or exitation is too weak.
Other: I have two of them for a thermostat- switching the heater with 220 V AC.

Pros: Realy small and cheap. can do a lot of things whit it... meybe first buy this and test how it works and then buy some more :D
Cons: The red light that is turned on when the relay is activated but other than that... no cons realy... it works and that is the most importante thing and its cheap to
Other: Ist as described, cheap and easy to use. What more can you ask from a product like this. If you ask me its worth of buying....
