Duemilanove Mega AVR ATmega1280-16AU USB Board for Arduino (Works with Official Arduino Boards)

Pros: This arduino compatible Mega 1280 board is just great! The build quality is outstanding and really surprised me. All the pins and connections, and solder and everything is perfectly placed and fully functional.

Cons: No cons what so ever. A USB cable come with the board, and even the cable looks really great, and seems to be from ery good quality.

Other: If you're looking for an arduino board, this item will certainly fulfill your expectations!

Pros: This device is fully compatible with Arduino, and up to 60% cheaper than an original one. You have plenty of pins to use, it totally works with official Arduino framework.

Cons: Type B USB cable begins to be obsolete. I would prefer a mini-USB or micro-USB. By the way, the cable in this bundle works really fine.

Other: A fully compatible development board. If you want to begin Arduino dev, with many devices (screen, keypad, sensors, ...), you might consider to buy this board !

Pros: Fully compatible with arduino software, easy to connect to computer. It's a robust board well built, seems like the original!

Other: Why pay more for the same product? this does exactly the same thing as the original arduino ATmega1280 for less money... good product, well built and CHEAP!

Pros: The price is very good and it's more useful than arduino uno, cause arduino mega have more pins avaiables tha arduino uno. The quality is very good, everything is working fine.

Cons: Some kind of manual should come with the equipment. You can find a lot of infos in the internet, but if you don't have a connection you will have troubles to learn how to use it.

Pros: This has to be one of the best clones that I have come across. The build quality is excellent. It comes with the standard ROM, so it's ready for your sketch. PILES of I./O ports and 4 serial ports. These are essential for acquiring data and reporting it. I highly recommend this one. I would have had to pay OVER 3 times the price locally for the SAME UNIT.

Cons: Only one single con, but it is not a deal breaker. The ICSP connector pins are not labeled.

Other: Best clone ever, buy it!

Pros: Went through NINE projects with it already and tested about everything - it is 100% Mega compatible with all those extra pin-out. Mega extra IO makes creating new digital projects a dream.

Cons: No cons that I can find so far. It just works and keep on working.

Other: If you are low on budget but high on ambition, this version of Mega will go a long long way for you. Team it with a prototype shield - I like the standard (less expensive) Arduino shield instead of the Mega-shield.

Pros: Works well, but I bought simply on cost. I wasn't aware that the current version of the Mega uses an ATmega2560. This board uses the ATmega1280. I guess this is a clone of the original Mega. None the less it's still a really good buy. I ran a number of sketches on it already. Beginners Note: The IDE will have to be set to the correct Arduino version for the sketch to compile and upload correctly. I selected the wrong Mega type the first time I tried uploading a sketch. Everything works well when the settings are done correctly. It has a lot more IO than the UNO.

Cons: None, but I would probably get a ATmega2560 version if I buy another.

Other: Good buy.

Pros: Arrived relatively fast, excellent price, recognized instantly by Arduino software, works as a charm. Well protected package, clear declaration, no problem with customs.

Other: Happy that everything went smooth. Definitely a best buy for me and I will gladly recommend it to my friends.

Pros: It work very well and it compatible to arduino software. I never had problem in connecting and working with it. I am using it for industrial automation purpose. Developing some labs. Also recommended to my students.

Cons: Only, one cons. If you plan to buy, you should order in advance. At lest one and half month advance. So, if you make project, it will be with you in time.

Other: It is worth to buy at this price and quality is very good.

Pros: Good quality, good price. Comes with USB cable so you can start right out of the box :) Had no problems using on windows 8 pc automatically detected device and installed drivers.

Cons: USB cable is quite short, but it's not a problem if you use it with laptop or put in on your pc top.

Other: Good price for good item. Arrived very quick. Soldering quality is good. if you need a cheap and good arduino mega go and get this one!
