IIC / I2C Serial 2.6" LCD 1602 Module Display for Arduino (Works with Official Arduino Boards)

Pros: It is a bright display with a clear view. It can be easely mounted by the four holes in what ever you want. It is easy to connect to your Arduino with just 4 wires. There is no need for an extra wire for the backlight.

Cons: The standard library equipped with thw arduino 1.0.1 software doesn't work. Replace the standerd library with the library in the following link: https://bitbucket.org/fmalpartida/new-liquidcrystal/downloads . Use this download: LiquidCrystal_V1.2.1.zip

Other: This worked for me. I would say: Buy it.

Pros: It works as expected. With the library and code posted in versr's review and some googling, I had it up and running in about 15 minutes after opening the plastic bag it came in. For a module that comes with no documentation whatsoever, that's pretty good, methinks. And it needs only four cables to connect.

Cons: The position of the connector on the back. If you don't have a cable and put it directly, e.g. into an Arduino prototype shield, the module sits vertically on the shield.

Other: A working display for a low price that needs only four cables to connect.
