What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Pros: Instead of the usual 16 pin that most LCD shields have, this one has I2C, so you end up reducing the number of pins from 16 to just 4 (Vcc, Ground SDA and SCL). In addition, using the I2C protocol allows you to control many more devices (provided that each device has a different address specified). The LCD screen also comes with a potentiometer on the back of the board to allow for changes in contrast.
Cons: First, the LiquidCrystal libraries that are provided with newer versions of Arduino (1.0 and up) will no longer work with this LCD, so you will need to upgrade to F Malpartida's NewLiquidCrystal library. Secondly, the specification on the DX website for the I2C address is wrong. It is NOT 0x27, but 0x20 (at least with my board). This brings me to my third problem; for some boards, the I2C may be 0x20 (I have read for some board revisions it is 0x3F, etc). But on top of this, for those that are labeled GY-LCD-V1, the pin layout has been redone, meaning that you will need to redefine all the pins before starting to code. Only after all of this (approximately 3 hours!) could I get the LCD to work
Other: Get this LCD if you need a 20x04 display, but be warned that there might be some debugging involved (upgrading Arduino libraries, then making sure that you don't have one of the "problematic" board revisions, etc. If you do have the strange board revision, you will just need to redefine the pins, etc.

Pros: Soo beatiful, really nice , don´t warm up, at night is must beatiful, you don´t felling tired of looking for hours.
Cons: My dificult was print special caracters, but I got all codes in Arduino software at examples/LiquidCristal_I2C2004V1/CustomChars, and works fine ...
Other: I´d like to get more this amazin display, I´m just waitting for buy more...for this reason I´m here writting my review...tks a lot but if you recomend one diferent serial I2C display at same COLOR (Blue + white) should be good!!!
