Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: *Very bright, of the few lights i've picked up here on Dealextreme, this would be one of the brightest when used directly. *Very nice build quality, no jagged edges, nice Aurora / Cree branding etching on the sides *Battery feels tight and secure, not loose *Glow in the dark O-Rings + Clicky tailcap
Cons: *Gets hotter and hotter. I would only recommend this flashlight for use in everyday situations for short periods of time. After 10 minutes the outer casing is too hot to touch comfortably. *Glow dies down quickly after flashlight is turned off. After 5 minutes the glow is no longer evident in low light conditions.
Other: Bottomline? If you have a source for CR2 batteries that isn't through the roof, this makes a great little flashlight :)

Pros: This light is awesome. It looks sharp, and high quality construction. I bought it to replace my name brand 65 (lm) flashlight while it is sent back for repair. It is very bright, the strobe is faster than I expected and battery life seems to be quite long. We played arounf with it all week end.
Cons: *The tail cap is click then on, not one then click, so can not be used as a momentary switch. *compared to other lights, output is not 220 (lm) I would say 110 is more like it. Cree's data sheet says 100-175 (lm) *with a cr2 battery 3.0v @ 800ma = +/-2.4w, with some bleed as heat seems to be right. *glow in the dark O-rings are neat but the don't glow long. They do cast a green hue around the front of the light when on.
Other: I am glad I only looked at the stainless steel models and the others where sold out so... glad I got it. Thought I was buying a CR123a lamp, but this is great. It is smaller than it seems, buy packs lots of light! Thank you DealeXtreme for another quality product!

Pros: Cheap and powerful. I find the modes useful - especially the low power is low enough to read in a car without distracting others. Fast strobe good for gaining attention while biking. Even though the pictures suggest the tail-clicky would protude beyond the body this is not so. The light can tail-stand after some rework (no skills needed - see below)
Cons: The lanyard holes have slight burrs on the inner side - could wear your lanyard out sooner than you thought. Should be easy to de-burr though. The threads are quite fine pitch - could be easy to damage with sand/dirt during outdoor activities. The GITD O-ring does not glow too long - wish it would last longer, but this must be about the same in all GITD ones here.
Other: Plenty of light for the price.

Pros: Its very bright lite for the size that it is.
Easy to use , 1 hard klik to put it on and a soft tab to select a funtion. Strobe function is realy a strobe as fast as it goes. advice..don't look at it.
But its cool on party's
The shaft is realy well made with 2 fine treads
Cons: The Flashlight gets pretty warm when turned on for a longer period.
But its a pro in the winter for your hands ;p.
Eats your battery's like candy,
be sure to use rechargeble CR2 battery's.
Other: Nice made little flashlight with a bundle of light.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Still plenty of light for the price - when it works.
Cons: Now with longer experience some cons start appearing.
1 - as others have also pointed out, eats batteries like candy - don't have actual measurements but runtime seems significantly lower than specified.
2- clicky becomes unreliable when aging. Have not counted the clicks made, but my copy has seen maybe weekly use for 6+ months now and the clicky requires 3-5 clicks before I have any light. Just waiting it to fail completely..
Other: You get what you pay for - still a nice small light for my kids.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It is a very sturdy light. Doesn't scratch easily. Looks expensive
Cons: Mine was only 1 mode, I tried everything to get it to change. I think the board was faulty. The threads were rough, I applied grease to try and help them but couldn't get the rough feeling out of them. I used this light for a month or so, recharged the battery, put it back in the light and it would only work for 2 minutes.
Other: I used the parts from this light to upgrade an Energizer double barrel 4 AAA light I had. Glad I did because it is so much more reliable. Still no modes though. Buy one if you want to use primary CR2s just forget rechargables.
