BEST 938 Mini Soldering Station Set (1~18 W/AC 220 V)

Pros: - It's Definitely Graceful. Small, really small, but feels Solid build. - The base unit is Heavy. Feels good. - Powerful. Yes. It is. Wondrously, Altought these "apparently insufficient" 18W, I workerd very well with the control adjusted in 60-75%. - The soldering iron itself is Really weightless. Small, allows you to do extremelly delicate work without tiring your hands, even in long-time services. - Looks good. - 18VAC (max) primary-insulated operating soldering iron. - The temperature controller works ok. - AC cable cord and soldering iron cable looks nice. - Comes with a adittional "scalpel format" tip. - Product packcage is more than we usually see in cheap China electronics.

Cons: - The tips is CRAP. Trust me. No chemical treatment. I'm a soldering expert, but the thin tip lasted about 30 minutes with the station turned on. After this, it has rusted fast and what remained was a gross piece of metal. - The coupled soldering iron support looks a bit strange and weak. It does not protect the main station body from the heat from soldering iron, if hot. - NO temperature controled (altought it did not show to be a big problem). The temperature controler is Simply an AC Dimmer installed in Transformer's Primary. - A bit Expensive. - Apparently, there is no way to disassemble the Soldering iron unit. So, you could be in trouble if the heating element goes out after some time. - The base unit heats a lot in some situations and exudes the smell of transformer vanish.

Other: If you can paid the value, buy it. Worths it, I'd say. It's a Graceful and Usefull small Station, destined not to be a Main one, but perhaps an useful auxiliary equipment to You.

Pros: - Heats up really fast (less than 15 seconds from cold to being able to melt solder). - Small (allows you to use it with very small electronics with no problem). - Interchangable tip (comes with 2, one with a pointed tip and the other with a long angled flat edge). - Decent build quality.

Cons: - First time you start it it will give of some fumes off the tip, not a big deal. Most likley just some residue from manufacturing, does not effect operation in any way.

Other: If you need a soldering iron with adjustable temp. for your electronics project then this is a good choice.

Pros: It's compact and quite rigid. Build quality is very good, I am very satisfied. It has got very precise solderig tip.

Cons: Non so far.

Other: I'm very satisfied, didn't get it on time, but i'll use it in the future.
