What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Pros: This light is an almost *exact* clone of the Planet Bike Superflash. It's *so* very close. Comes with batteries. Dirty cheap at $5.
Cons: The mount is slightly lower quality than the stock Planet Bike Superflash, but it's so close that it's not really a problem. $5 is a good deal more expensive than some other tail lights on DX, but it's worth the extra money. It doesn't come with a mount for a small tube like the Radbot lights do. So it'll fit on your seat tube, but not your seatstays unless you work something out.
Other: Buy ten of them with the discount, put two on your bike, hand the rest out to friends.

Pros: Very bright. Mounts on seat post easily. Two modes (fast blink and steady) so you don't have to cycle through a bunch of random blink paterns to turn it off.
Cons: The electronics and battery are built into the lens, not the back (the part that mounts to the bike) so if the plastic latch that holds it together weakens after a few battery changes, the light could fall off your bike.
Other: The best rear blinky on DX. Buy it.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It is bright. Two modes - all LEDs blinking and bright LED steady. The bright LED really bright, that is, much brighter than "ordinary" ligts with few "ordinary" LEDs that I have. Decent build quality.
Cons: Yes, it states "0.5W LED" on the package but actually it draws 0.2W in steady mode. Even if LED actually could hold 0.5W, the electronic circuit doesn't pump that current through it. Also, as far as I can see through the red plastic, there is no cooler whatsoever, the LED is just soldered on the board, so high power would cause overheating instantly.
Other: This is a good, that is, close to top end, bike rear light at a really good price.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This is very much like a Planet Bike rear flasher (the 1/2 watt model). It is easy to turn it on by feel. Flashing mode works well. The construction is good, and the finish is nice as well. I can't see much difference between this light and the Planet Bike light, except for the significant cost difference. Battery life has been good thus far.
Cons: None really.
Other: Unusually good value -- it's a well finished, bright, and durable rear flasher.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very, very bright. I think the best on DealExtreme It has a clip to attach where ever you want. It´s a clone of the Planet Bike light but more cheaper. Very small and easy to mount.
Cons: Only two modes. The blinking mode is too fast. I would like another mode with slow blinking. No reflection parts inside.
Other: Before buy expensive tail lights, try this one. I will buy another for my car for warning light
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Simple UI: Off -> Blink all -> Steady main LED -> off - Bright and blinky: Cars will definitely notice you - Not too heavy: Less wear and tear to the plastic hinge - Sturdy: Plastic hinge notches are robust and stays put amidst shaking - AAA batteries: Inexpensive rechargeables, common household battery
Cons: Batteries supplied are soft enough to crush by finger, you should probably find better quality batteries to use.
Other: Simple and essential rear blinker, look no further; buy one, it could save your life.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - really bright, better not to look direct in the light - other drivers will see you even in the fog - quality of plastics - build quality - cover fits firm, seems to be waterproof - battery included (although no alkaline) - good price/value ratio
Cons: - white body - will be dirty soon. And black is more expensive (why?). - only two modes, but its enough
Other: I would definetely recommend this product! I thing I'll buy another one.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Very but really very bright, much brighter then all other lights. The one power led of 0,5w really makes the difference. - Batteries included - Cheaper than Ebay - 2 modes (constant and flickering), no more needed.
Cons: - The only con is the on/off button, they could design it better since you have to press quite hard.
Other: Best light ever, just buy it!

Pros: This bike light is good quality, just the same as 'planet bike'. It emits flashing or steady bright red light. Comes with batteries. Reasonably thick plastic case. well made red lens with clear section for focusing the chip LED.
Cons: Cover can be slightly tricky to get off with a dime or penny. That said, because of this seems plenty waterproof; has a soft gasket between the mating surfaces.
Other: Buy it if you need a red bike light.

Pros: This has been a fantastic find on the DX site. I put along side other rear bike lights that I have accumulated over the years and this one is by far, the most impressive, particularly when you consider price. I have had not problems with it at all and the batteries last a long time. so you don't have to think about changing them all that often. Don't look for anything equivalent for the price
Cons: the on off button can be a little difficult to cycle through but once you get used to is, it is ok. The only other con with the shopping experience is the time it takes for delivery. Apart from that, the pads are great
Other: Just buy it. Don't worry too much about looking around
