Black Parking Sensor/Radar Kit (DC 12V~24V)

Pros: Looks good, works surprisingly good. Bright, colourful and informative display, separate 2 right and 2 left sensors visual indicators with sufficient number of steps. Distance readout, Beep speed corresponds with distance. Display looks nice and it's made of a good plastic and doesn't look cheap. Enough wire length to install it to a very big sedan with everything tucked neatly away under panelling.

Cons: "black" I received is not really black, more like metallic charcoal dark grey. Looks OK on black, but it's definitely not the flat black (the photo looks like true black). There was label missing that indicates sensor connections (not a problem though, as they are shown here on the photo). Beep is a bit loud and cheap-sounding, not too bad though. When you start to drive and flip gear shift from P to D, it emits weird blip as it goes trough reverse position (it gets power when reverse light is on - smart, but it should have a delay of half a second so it won't blip when moving from P to D). The control box's cover fell off in my hand, had to wrap it with tape to keep it together.

Other: Very good value, if it will work for a long enough time.

Pros: - Good building quality.
- Easy to install.
If you have a black car you don´t need to paint the sensors. Using the hole saw (included in the kit) you have a perfect and simple job to install the product in your car.
The painel that show the distance is bright and have a good building quality.

Cons: - We can´t cancel sound alert. If you have child sleeping in your car you have a big problem with the sound alert that is too loud.

Other: I think it´s a very good driving aids for car. Even if you car is small it´s a security product.

Pros: Muy buen producto, realmente recomendable. Es muy facil de instalar, no hacen falta mayores conocimientos de electronica del automovil, solo hay que que empalmar un cable del modulo a la luz de reversa, otro a 12+ y el otro a masa. Con un poco de paciencia no hace falta desmontar el paragolpes.
La calidad de construccion es buena, le sensores traen unos bujes de silicona que los sujetan muy bien.
La medicion es bastante precisa.

Cons: Al desactivarse emite un sonido extraño (de algun capacitor que queda cargado)pero nada importante.

Other: Excelente relacion precio / producto.
Muy facil de instalar.
Muy util.
No tiene absolutamente nada que envidiarle a otros kit de mucho mayor precio.

Pros: - Very easy to install with the drill tool included in the kit.
- Very long cable for the display unit
- Nice price.
- Do the job as expected

Cons: - Sensors cable all have the same length. (leads to spagettis of cable for the sensors that are close to the unit)
- Sensor cables are labelled A,B,C and D, but these labels do not appear on the main unit. So it is a little bit confusing at time of finding the connecting order.
- Beep is a little bit too loud, a volume button could be useful (when parking at night with children sleeping on the back seats)

Other: Again a nice deal from DX :)

Pros: Funciona bien y las intruciones son buenas. Depende del coche donde quieras instalarlo. Yo lo tengo en un 406 y va muy bien. Recomiendo desmontar el paragolpes para mas comodidad. El cable negro lo pones en un tornillo del coche cerca de donde instales la centralita y el rojo al cable de luz de marcha atrás de la parte trasera del coche. El visor es muy discrito y tiene un clabe muy largo.

Cons: El volumen del pitido es un poco alto pero útil.

Other: RECOMENDADO su uso, sobre todo para sitios oscuros.

Pros: Good Build quality, works Great and is really, really useful when you live in a building with tide parking Lot.

Cons: It gives you strange behavior under hard rain and stone roads. You may have erroneous readings when parking between a lot of columns. May be due to the eco.

Other: If you want a good parking sonar, BUY IT ! It works great on my Opel Meriva.

Pros: The device is sufficiently sensitive that it picks up obstacles easily (sometimes too easily); Looking at the product photos, I thought that the LED Display panel would be bulky and make an ugly addition to my car's dashboard. But I was pleasantly surprised that it was small to be unobtrusive. The sensors seem sturdy enough to stand bumpy rides and the elements. - The distance sensor is quite accurate. It will detect distance from about 2.5 meters down to 30cm.

Cons: - The sensors' wires are not long enough for my big car that I had to locate the main console somewhere behind the front seat. The version I received had the speaker built-in inside the main console so I needed to pick just the right location for it so that the beeps would be audible. Having short wires made the task a bit of a challenge. - The sensors will not detect distance within a foot (30cm) and it will indicate zero distance. It would be more useful if it could detect smaller distances up to maybe 10cm. But that's not a major complaint. - The device has 4 sensors but it will only indicate left and right, that is, you'll not get a sense of the obstacle's location if it's in the middle. It will still display as left or right.

Other: This is a very useful product, easy to install but only if you have the aptitude for it and know your way around power tools and electrical car wiring.

Pros: I expected something that was indeed only worth 29$, but I was pleasantly surprised with this kit. The beeper was mounted inside the display, and didnt need an extra cable. Beeper and display are clear and don't look cheap. The unit detects even small objects, as long as they're somewhat flat.

Cons: One could complain about the cable lenght, but that's easily solved if you're a little handy. I would have preferred a display that would be flat on top also, so I could also stick it underneath the dash instead of on top. I think I'll end up disassembling the display and fitting the components into empty slots in the center console of my car for ultimate customization. The manual isn't very clear, but also unneeded. It might have mentioned that the two left and two right sensors (both sets at the rear or front/rear bumper) show the nearest oblject only: the possiblity to choose between the two setups could have been more elaborated.

Other: If your vehicle doesn't come with this option as standard, get it. Any fender-bender costs more than this unit.
