Pros: You can code your bmw, What I did was change distance of parking sensors, change comfort opening and closing, change close doors at 20km/h.

Cons: You don't have the options explained so it's dangerous that you can "break" your car....

Pros: If you know what you are doing then this couldn`t server you any better. The SW along works plug and play, no issues of any kind.

Cons: No cons.

Other: Robust and feels quite good. I discovered even errors which my previous diagnostic tool did not even know about. A must have for every DIY guy.
If you are not sure what it can do or what it is for, then better leave it, you may seriously damage your car systems and BMW might charge you your life, pants, house and wife for a repair :)
