Pros: -Needle tip for accurate application of liquids -Clear so you can see what's in it in the case that you have more than one -Just the right size

Cons: i could be wrong but as far as i can tell theres nothing included to cap the bottle to prevent spills, even though the hole is so small that you'd probably have to squeeze the bottle to get anything to come out anyways

Other: Overall its just a great bottle for applying anything from flux to alcohol or even juts water. a great tool for soldering

Pros: Cheap Does what it's supposed to do

    Cons: Leaks easily.
Made from fairly bad plastic, the top of the treads broke off mine leaving me with a bottle that couldn't be closed.

Other: At this price, these are great, but buy at least two because one might break or leak too much to be useful.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It's cheap and has a fine tip. It's big enough so the liquid inside will last long. It is full transparent so you'll see the content. If you want a bigger drop, just remove the funnel.

Cons: Even if the tip is fine big drops might fall. Sealing it's not perfect. The flux seems to react with the metal funnel, it became dark, but I cleaned with some water.

Other: I bought a couple of them. Can always be useful!

Pros: Nice bottle, useful in your workshop for keeping oils, glues and other liquid stuff.

Cons: No cap, so it can't be closed. So be really careful.
Needle isn't sharp and can be bent easilly. But you can replace it with a regular sharp needle from a drug-store (they are use for injections and are compatible with this bottle)

Other: I use it for super glue (sku.6460), works great...but again, it has no cap, so be careful.

  • Dodgy, but cheap

posted by dansdata on 21:07:58 G11T 20/11/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: You get one little squishy bottle with a glue-bottle-type cap, one inner dropper fitting, and one blunt syringe-type needle with a standard anti-needle-stick cover. Not bad for a buck!

Cons: The dropper fitting is a press-fit, and doesn't fit properly. You'd have to glue it in place, or something. And the needle comes INSIDE the bottle, and is very tricky to get out - try using a knife to cut the mould flashing away from the inside of the bottle neck. The needle's then meant to fit onto the dropper part as it would on the end of a syringe, but the two parts don't match well at all - the needle will just drop off unless, again, you stick it in place somehow.

Other: With a bit of cutting and gluing, these bottles should make great precision oilers, flux dispensers or what-have-you. If you want something that you won't have to fiddle with for five minutes to get it to work, though, these are not for you.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: its a nice cheap Booster Flux Bottle i don't use this for flux (as i found the needle fits on the end of https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13915 and works so much better for flux)
but the bottle dose me well for oiling joints and such
also if you put water in it there is a very fine strong jet comes out when u squeeze witch could be good for cleaning (alcohol would work well in it to)

Cons: not any to say what could be a con for this you get what you see in the pic there's no surprises

Other: buy if you need a bottle like this it got so many uses oil, flux, alcohol, water

  • Cheap, Capless

posted by draggonfly on 01:43:07 G1T 10/01/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Cheap, holds quite a bit of liquid, comes with needle, which doesnt need to be inserted at all times

Cons: Needle doesnt fit perfectly, although a second cap comes with it which will sort of force the needle sort of on the bottle.
    Leaks easy, no Cap

Other: Cheap, capless, bottle. Probably not good for things like alcohol, which evaporate easy, at least, not without a cap.

  • be precise, don't waste flux

posted by erdabyz on 11:42:47 G2T 17/02/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: -it's a simple device.
-helps apllying flux or other chemicals in a concrete spot and in small doses, without wasting it.
-at least mine seals perfectly the content...
-metal needle tolerates high temperatures and doesn't stick to molten solder, meaning you can apply the flux directly

Cons: -a bit tricky to assemble, it should have a small paper with instructions
-the base is not perfectly flat, it may fall if it's not full of liquid

Other: it's just a plastic bottle with a needle, what can be wrong?
