  • nice light for a ladie`s handbag

Pros: I just got it and fed it with a fresh AAA. First impressions: damn, this thing is small! It´s barely as small as the AAA itself, a lot smaller than a lipstick. The overall built quality is okay. The beam pattern is nice and shows a decent hot spot with a usable spill. The mode memory works fine, the UI cycles you easily through the 5 modes. It is very good for close range- enough light to light your way but it will not blind you.

Cons: - the finishing looks a little cheap - the emitter of mine is not perfectly centered - far from being 150 lumen, but what do you expect from a single AAA?

Other: This is the perfect giveaway! A little cheaper and I would order quite a bunch of those. But I will order one or two more to give them to friends. This light is perfect for a handbag or to add it to a bunch of keys.

  • bright, little flashlight

posted by Chickenman on 06:46:49 G3T 16/03/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: This flashlight is really small, but really bright. Its perfect for attaching it to your keys or carrying around in your pockets. Its one of the smallest flashlights on DX. It has a nice strap to hang around your wrist. Its really easy to use, starts on high-mode, quick off an on sets to middle, low, strobe, SOS... It uses normal AAA batteries, which are easy to get and not as expensive as Li-batteries. It can keep your hands warm in the winter. :) (see below) the building quality is excellent.

Cons: The runtime that i measured was about 20-30 minutes in high-mode. Then the brightness was reduced to about medium mode for about 15 minutes and after that, the brightness was about at low-mode. I used one fully charged 1000 Ni-MH battery. This is actually no con, cause it should be clear that you can't run a flashlight this bright for 3 hours on one single AAA. Unfortunately it gets quite warm on high-mode after about 10 minutes. Its not that hot that you can't hold it in your hands, but it gets noticeable warmer. another con is that you can hear a high beep, holding it to your ear. but at a distance of about 40 cm you will just notice it slightly.

Other: I just own this flashlight for one day, but i'm amazed, how small and bright it is. It is absolutely worth its money and i'm thinking about giving it to my friends as a present. Great flashlight for everyday stuff, but i wouldn't use it for a nightly walk, when it should last longer than 30 minutes. : )

  • Wow, what a light!

Pros: Good H-M-L levels Big beam spread. . .Better than my EX10 AAA size. Fits in a front pocket. Great work beam . . ctr is big enough to use, even up close.

Cons: None so far. SOS modes. Kind of meaningless for most customers, I'd bet.

Other: Great light to have all the time. More expensive than many, but if small and useful are your main points, buy this.

  • Nice little carry-all-around light

posted by iyanachko on 09:13:00 G3T 28/03/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Very compact. Works with any kind of battery, even with LiIon 10440. Good quality. Turns smooth, without efforts (the thread is good quality). Good brightness, well focused bright spot with nice spill. Good white color. The three power levels are well spaced. Has memory feature – remember the last used level, so you do not have to cycle through all modes, especially through the annoying strobe modes. Nice lanyard.

Cons: The stated 150 lm is way, way off mark! Also, looking at the brightness vs. power consumption I doubt it is Q5 bin.

Other: This is an excellent carry-all-around light. With a turbo feature, instead of the annoying and useless (to my opinion) strobe and blinking modes it would have been a perfect one!

Pros: Smallest light I own yet. Super tiny with a punch. It runs 10440 protected battery's really well, I mean BRIGHT. For this tiny little light to throw out such a bright beam, WOW, I will be using the lanyard on this one for sure as not to lose it

Cons: I would prefer a clicky on/off instead of the twist on/off, especially when you are trying to cycle through the 5 modes. Clicky would be better, but still works well the way it is.

Other: What more can I say except, I want it cheaper! It is i little more to throw down compared to other ones, but it is so tiny and so bright it is still a very good price for this item, get it if you want it, it's a good one!

  • Powerful and good quality flashlight

posted by ArnoldC on 12:55:20 G4T 23/04/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - extremely bright. the light could be seen even in daylight - very compact size. I guess this is one of the smallest among all the AAA LED flashlight - good build quality. Good machining and coating. Good grip on the top - quick shipment. Received within a week after order, even though it is coming from HongKong.

Cons: - does not look like there is any change to the focus by turning len - no o-ring between the len cap and the middle part, i.e. it you don't screw it tight, it is not no longer water proof.

Other: very good product with good price! ideal to go with your key chain. But if you want to have a even brighter LED flashlight and willing to have a slightly bigger size, get a AA or CR123A flashlight.

Pros: Very small, has O rings at lens, electronics housing, and battey opening so should be waterproof. Fairly brite even with AAA's. Twisty on/off should mean it will last longer(less moving parts). Fit and finish are good, seems to be real HA-III coating. Different modes for longer battery life, mode memory works. Tail stands so can be used as candle in low mode.

Cons: A little expensive,I think it could be a few dollars less. The SOS feature is a little strange, once it goes thru cycle(s.o.s.)waits about 6 seconds before starting again.

Other: I bought this for my Bug Out Bag,easy to find batteries, and fairly brite with ability to get longer battery life by using lower power modes make this a good emergency lighting option. Would buy again, just wish it had a included clip.

  • Brightest single 1.2 volt cell light

posted by VJJohn on 10:37:10 G10T 12/10/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: This is a little brighter than any AAA single cell Fenix light when running them on a standard 900mah 1.2 volt rechargeable AAA cell. Comparing it to my Terralux 2-AA cell light, rated at 220 lumens, but really only around 170-180 lumens, I'd have to say it's around 100-120 lumens. After my 80 lumen AAA Fenix light died after being on my keychain for a little under 2 years, I decided to take a chance on this one. The Fenix (not available in my city) cost me over $60 to be delivered to my house. At that price it should have last over 2 years, but didn't. It was not banged around, dropped, or got wet. So if this little light even lasts me a year on my keychain, it's a better deal for the price. Some say this is expensive, but because it's the same quality, & a little brighter than my expensive Fenix, I think the price, with shipping is very good. It remembers your last setting so you won't have to cycle through all the modes. Quality & construction seems as good as, & is similar to Fenix. Did not try lithium, or alkaline cells in it. I wanted a light that can go bright on a regular cheap battery, or my 1.2 volt rechargeable cells, but still last long on a lower setting. On the low setting it is very useful too. On low it is much brighter than my Arc AAA light & my other dimmer, basic Fenix light, the E01. The E01 will run down to 50% in 10 hours, the dimmer Arc will run down to 50% in 6 hours. Haven't got around to testing runtimes with my 1.2 volt rechargeable cells in this light yet, but will someday. Very pleased.

Cons: Took weeks for them to get my order from the supplier, & ship it. So my light arrived exactly a month after ordering it. Previous DX orders only took 10-14 days to arrive.

Other: Great deal for a bright, decent, little light!

Pros: - a very compact size is high quality of execution
    - the multimodeness is a feed of AAA, NiMh and 10440!
It good and enough bright flashlight even on the feed of 1.2 v.
Well and the mode of memory works correctly, memorizing the last used mode of brightness. It comfortably.
Sizes and weight of lantern allow to use it even as a key trinket.
Including and switching of the modes is produced easily one-arm turning head part of lantern.
In the mode Hi worked already more than 40 minutes on NiMh, farther I did not begin to wait, it already not bad. Thus it was only a bit warm.

Cons: a bit sharp cut under a small strap in butt-end part of lantern.

Other: I think it is a good lantern, I like his mini-size and high quality of execution. Fully bright and on NiMh, but think it is necessary to put 10440 to get complete satisfaction.

Pros: Small - fits comfortably on your keychain Very powerfull (with 10440 Lion) lightweight memory works fine it can use any AAA - prime, NiMH or Lion good runtime (exept max with 10440 - which is to be expected

Cons: the protected 10440 is too big for it and you have to twist it very hard to switch on/change mode the positive contact is just ablotch of solder - not very reliable over time - my 10440's have worn it out half way for couple of days

Other: very nice little thing to have on your keychain
