Pros: * My laptop now has 4x USB2 ports.
    * Power boosting by adding the red lead.
    * 3x USB-A Female, 1x USB mini-male.
    * Powers my external cdrom drive AND my 250G hard drive flawlessly.
    * Full USB2 speed.

Cons: * Haven't found anything I don't like about it yet.

Other: * If you are looking for a cheap, and probably more useful hub, then this is the unit for you.

  • Good for computers, NOT for PS3!

    Pros: Works well with Computers.

Cons: Didn't work on my PS3 very well. I have the 2-port USB version of the PS3 and bought this thinking it would make it 4.
I plugged in 2 external hard-drives, and a Guitar Hero receiver and they all had trouble connecting/receiving power.
Unplugged everything except for one device and it worked, but it defeats the purpose of buying this!!

Other: Don't buy this for your PS3!

  • Nice useful USB hub

Pros: - it works. it's really a usb 2.0 hub. Creates 4 usb ports from one (or 2)
    - I like the fact that it has mini-usb plug (no need for additional convertor)
    - form factor makes it very flexible and useful

Cons: - one of the usb ports requires a lot of force to plug something in it. all others are fine
    - build quality and materials seems to be not the best

Other: Good usb hub. With such price I give it 5 stars and don't know what else to say to get 500 characters

Pros: Allows the use of high power USB devices in a normal low power USB poer by using an external power source. Works with my HDD, DVD drive, bletooth receiver and touchscreen. Nice flexible sockets that can be moved arounbd to put them in the best place unlike rigid hubs. Also the mini USB connector was exactly right foe my DVD drive and so I did not need to buy another adaptor.

Cons: NO INSTRUCTIONS at all, not even in another language. Some sort of breif setup instruction should be included. Case came unclipped apart but just clipped back together again so not a long term problem with my unit. The leads coming out of the hub are a little short but nice and flexible, so overall not so bad.

Other: Ideal where space is short as the flexible leads allow you to position the hub and its connections flexibly. VERY good price. Build quality not top class but good enough for what this product is. Great for high power USB devices!!!!!!!

  • Flexible 3-way USB HUB with a mini usb plug(male)

    Pros: Its flexible. It fits.
    Its doing the job.
    Its cheap.
It has 2 plugs. The red one gives only power, the black one gives the data and power.
    Nice!

Cons: Poor build quality a bit.
I bought it for a long term use with a laptop, so i hope it wont fall apart.

Other: Another good and useful product. Thank you DX!

Pros: It functions as an adapter cable for miniB USB (one less part to carry)
It can be used to recharge only (e.g. my iPod when I don't want it to be accessed by my computer, just listen and recharge at the same time).
The "squid" type connector means there will always be room for any kind of dongle adapter including large or wide ones.
"Charge" can be used to inject power (e.g. Nokia tablets in USB Host mode - the hub consumes very little by itself).
Inexpensive - buy two or three!

    Cons: (both are minor)
Short and thick, thus stiff wires so it will want to stick out instead of going at an angle.
Enumerates as 7 ports though only exposes 4.

Other: For travelers or for the "connector kit" I carry to fix things, this replaces several cables and serves multiple functions. And it doesn't cost much more than a plain USB A to micro B cable.

  • Exelent!

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: * Small and flexible
    * Provides three regular USB ports and one mini-USB port
    * USB 2.0
    * Plug'n'Play. Vista reports the hub has 4x500mA ports
    * Use it as a USB power source and charge small devices
    * Perfect for Netbook modders! (Asus eee, Acer One, MSI Wind and others where space is a issue)

Cons: * Cables are a bit stiff
    * Shoddy solder job on the wires. The soldering doesn't look good and one wire to one of the ports where loose (not that it matters to me though). The board is machine assembled, wiring has been done by hand.

Other: Simply perfect, regardless of what you plan on using it on or in.

hub installs in windows xp with no worries
Great idea with 4 port hub AND mini usb
what more do you need ?

    Cons: no cons

Other: great device with good build quality
    I was quite impressed
great to use on those 2.5 inch hardrives with higher current requirement, or with computers with low USB current output

  • Actually pretty good

Pros: There are definitely situations where power will come to bite you in the arse. I'm using this in a portable system with a very power-weak USB system, and needed this dual-power style just to make it work /at all/. So, if you need it, it's really nice! Other than that, it works pretty much as expected. What can I say; it's a USB hub.

Cons: Personally I'd be happier with just four USB ports than three USB and one mini USB, but everybody else seems to like that. I have a trillion USB->mini USB adapters, but I found myself out of ports with this ... the power flows between the two INPUT USB ports (the red power one and the data one), so if your data device is not providing power over USB, it will be RECEIVING power over USB, which is utterly non-compliant. By pure coincidence this was extremely helpful to me (my device is now actually powered this way 8-D), but it's very very very non-compliant, so be careful.

Other: If you have need for the dual-power style, it's very helpful ... and hell, you don't have any other choice for that, so buy it! :P
If you don't need dual-power, it's just a normal USB hub, nothing spectacular. The price is decent even for that though.

    Pros: Good packaging.
    Power for various devices.
Comes with a MINI-Usb so I can charge my phone with this.

Cons: Comes with a Mini-USB. I expected four standard USBs when I purchased this. It was purchased to charge my electronic cigarettes batteries four at a time. Now I have to find a mini-usb to standard usb adapter to do so.

    Other: Works.
