Camera Flash Mount (Hot Shoe)

Pros: Greatly made, hold my flash pretty tight! Tough plastic good deal I used to own one that I paid 30$ and this one hold my flash better and when you tilt it it actually stays in place because of the gear like construction of it. It has also an umbrella holder which work wells also.

Cons: I don't really have any negative comments.

Other: Great product for a great buy ! I wish DX would have even more photo products. Love all the products I bought from them yet :) It's like a dollar store with quality products at cheap price :)

Pros: It works. It holds my flash and umbrella together. The build quality is solid. There is even a screw to tighten the umbrella. You can adjust the angle of the flash and umbrella. The locking mechanic works pretty good.

Cons: The rail on top has no screw to tighten the flash. If you set the adapter at an angle, there is a risk that your flash will slip and fall. This is a BIG problem so far I found. I use two rubber bands on each end of the rail to protect slipping.

Other: It is cheap and it works

Pros: Good product - does what it's supposed to.

Cons: Not metal. Probably not a big deal unless you're using a heavy lighting setup rather than a flash but worth pointing out.

Other: The way manufactures sort of gouge us with prices on things that are cheap to make just because they know we expect to pay too much for camera equipment is a constant gripe of mine. Given the market for this kind of stuff, I'm happy with my purchase.

Pros: A solid piece that does it's job. Not very complicated

Cons: I wish the top plate had a screw that would hold my flash or other hot shoe in place. I believe the other mount sold by DX has this feature.

Other: Buy the other one sold by DX. When using the DX wireless trigger, it doesn't have it's own locking mechanism. You may have other items that are also like this.

Pros: It is strong enough to use it without problems. Do not think that having a cheap price is a bad product. Fits either foot focus and umbrella. Using it is as easy as any other, but it is much cheaper.

Cons: I think if I had the upper screw that serves to tighten the remote triggers would be perfect. Unfortunately it brings and if you use a remote trigger may have to buy the screw to attach it. DX has other models if they bring that screw.

Other: If you go directly to a flash and a remote trigger not buy it. Otherwise searches DX adapter with screw.
