Pros: Good build quality, if it wasn't for the logo and the "JJC" logo I would have thought it was Canon. Work as expected (well, its an extension cable). Springs/contacts seems to be good quality.
Cons: A little thight/hard to insert. At first the flash didn't fire (even though it did zoom when I changed focal length on the lens). But after some tries it now works fine (I probably didn't push hard enough the first time).
Other: I'm happy I bought it. Gives me the freedom to play with the different flash-mounts provided by DX.

Pros: A huge savings -- 60% or more less than the name brand. Construction feels very sturdy, and it locks positively into the camera's hot shoe.
Cons: The end that the flash attaches to has a hot shoe base with a tripod screw hole. However, the bottom has no knob to tighten down the base to a hot shoe. This prevents me from using it with my existing off-camera bracket, since there is nothing to hold the base firmly onto the bracket.
Other: Good for hand-holding the flash away from the camera, or if you have a screw-mount bracket. Not so good for a shoe-mount bracket.

Pros: It's cheap... Canon has no business charging as much as they do for their cord. It will do TTL as advertised.
Cons: Very poor construction. I had 3 major problems with the build quality. The first problem was with strain relief at either end of the cord. On the camera side, the clamped section actually began to pull away from the shoe mount, exposing inner wires. On the other end, the strain relief actually tore. I had to open the unit and I used electrical tape to patch the cord together. I extended the tape into the unit and clamped the two halves down on the tape. Heatshrink would have been better but wouldn't have solved the problem of the strain relief tearing outside the body. The second problem (very minor) is that a screw came loose inside the camera end shoe, and began rattling around inside. I opened it and reseated it. The third MAJOR problem is the plastic foot on the flash side. It's just shoddy, and the edges cracked off. I put a 580 EXII into a FlexTT5, and put that assembly into the cord. I then mounted the cord into flash bracket (which has to be one of the most likely uses for this product). Halfway through a wedding I was shooting, the plastic shoe broke. The shoe should be metal! I have since jury rigged it with a bolt by removing the plastic foot section and screwing the shoe to the flash bracket. So if you're planning on walking around with this mounted, I would think twice.
Other: If you're not planning on moving with this installed, you should be good. Otherwise you'll be disappointed.

Pros: feels fairly solid for the price. fits perfectly on camera
Cons: flash side was a little tight. i could barley put the flash on becuase the clamp was so tight. it turned out even harder to take off.
Other: if you need a syncro cable and your on a budget get this cable it cheap and seems to do its job well. if you can put out the extra cash a genuine syncro may last you a bit longer.

Pros: It worked perfectly on my Canon S5IS with 430EX Flash with TTL. I recommend it for amateurs and/or professional photographers. I have it about 9 months and it is working fine. The build quality is amazing. I reckon it was the best build product from DealExtreme I have already bought.
Cons: Cons? Maybe the cable is a bit short. You cannot be more then 40cm away from the camera.
Oh, on the first and second time i used it, it was not syncing. I tried to take it off flash and camera and plug it in again and it worked fine.
Other: If you need to get the flash off camera just a few centimeters, just buy it now! It's really great.

Pros: This is a very good quality off-camera shoe cord. Has 5 contact points plus base for dedicated use on Canon EOS cameras. Has a locking mechanism to secure it in place. Seems to have the same performance as the much more expensive original cable.
Cons: The cord is very short, around 30cm. It will strech to more than 100cm, but it will most probably knock over your flash unit unless you tie it down with some sort of extra weight.
Other: Get it if you need it. Don´t forget that the shipping is free.

Pros: -good lock on camera side
-rubber seal
-both connectors have metal main parts-flash side has metal
-it simply works
Cons: -stiff short cable
-tough lock lever
Other: Cable has good lock on camera side, even lock lever has its own little lock! If i will totally break my camera by fall or something, i believe that this connector will still stay on its position. On camera side is rubber seal that moves down to camera body by lock lever and move up when lock lever is returned to unlock position, rain should not affect contacts when it is locked. Maybe this is reason why lock lever is tough. Both connectors have metal main parts, plastic parts are used of course for covers. Flash side has metal screw hole, it seems stable. And it simply works with E-TTL metering, i tried Metz flashlight and old film EOS camera, no problem. The only problem is stiff short cable, i think it is impossible to extend cable up to 150cm promised in manual (or 130cm on DX), i tried about 50cm. So for free moving flashlight max 50 cm around camera, it is good cable for good price.

Pros: + Works perfectly + No problems with metering + Supports High Sync Speeds (1/4000s) + Less than one third of the Canon's price + Decent quality + Rubber gasket on the camera end + Fastens tightly
Cons: +/- Short, pro or a con, depends on what you are looking for - Locking mechanism somewhat flimsy - Strain reliefs a bit ineffective - Some models on DX.com are cheaper
Other: Good deal, it's just quite short. I didn't want a long cable, so this 30cm one fits my needs just fine.
