What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Looks nice, has a sliding cover so you don't press the buttons accidentally. Buttons still feel solid today. Sliding cover still snaps back properly. Haven't changed the battery till now (I bought it March 2012)
Cons: It's quite finicky. You need intermediate electrical skills to figure the wires out. It took me about 6 hours in total to get it up (figuring out the wires). The module for the alarm system was poorly soldered. The pins were not done properly. I don't think I wanted to ship it back after I've spliced the wires and all, and it's very hard for DX to verify it unless they wanted to test it on their own car. So in the end I used lots of cable ties to 'tighten' the module and the wire harness. Works fine. Had to re-tighten my cable ties 2 months ago. Mind you, my car is a very hard ride - Tein suspension system. The bad module also caused me to second-guess my wiring and that's probably why I took so long to fix it.
Other: Definitely value for money. And definitely not for the faint-hearted. Prepare yourself with electrical tape, splicers and voltmeter and you're good! And oh, it might be good to figure out which wire under your dashboard goes where from your car manual first.
