Pros: This is an almost perfect copy of an Emerson Commander complete with Emerson logo on the blade. It even came in an Emerson box. This copy could fool anyone not knowledgeable in the nuances of the Emerson. The sample I got was smooth opening and the wave functioned as it should. The Lock is smooth and positive. Several whacks couldn't dislodge the blade. Closing is just as smooth.
Cons: The first thing I noticed was that the blade was not perfectly sharpened. It looked like it had been used to hack at rocks before it got to me. I used my stone and smoothed out the edge fairly easily in about a minute. Very soft steel. The clip is very well designed but I suspect it's made from thinner steel than the real thing as it's possible to bend / break it off if you tried.
Other: A very nice entry level wave functioning knife you don't have to worry about losing or breaking. Be wary of the strength of the blade, clip and liner lock and keep your fingers clear of the sharp side. If it weren't for the Emerson claim it'd still be worth $10.

Pros: This is a nice knife, and yes, for those who wondered, it does open with the wave (little piece on the back of the blade that sticks out and catches on your pocket lining). This particular wave works well, opening the knife automatically when you take the knife out.
Cons: The logo has a spelling mistake on it, and the knife is a bit rough in its finish and workmanship. The blade has a bit of a wobble to it, not as solidly built as I would prefer, but hey, its cheap!
Other: I really like this knife and think its worth buying.

Pros: This is a full-sized, weighty, well made knife. Much more substantial than the smaller ultrafire knives. I don't particularly care for how convincing a replica of the emerson commander it is, but the addition of the wave functionality is very neat and an excellent bonus as it really works well. The lock holds the blade securely, there's no lateral movement and generally everything about this is well engineered.
Cons: The blade isn't razor sharp out of the box, but I guess anyone bothered about getting a really really keen edge will expect to sharpen any knife regularly anyway.
Other: This is a good knife regardless of price....and for the money, an excellent knife!! Well done dealextreme.

Pros: I am assigned to two regional SWAT teams around chicago. Have trained around the country with various military/police special Ops. The Emerson "wave" function can not be beat in edged weapon combat.
Cons: Sadly, if you don't know a real Emerson, you may think this one is real. The blade is decent, but roughly shaped. The handle is plastic not micarta (tough plastic nonetheless). The stop is smaller and lock is steel not Ti.
Other: buy them by the truckload

Pros: Emerson commander, tried and trusted design (10+ years)super fast wave, faster out of pocket than anything(switchblade, gravity, assisted open)can be drawn from holster/scabbard. big tough design, good plastic cased steel, opening strength easily adjusted with flathead, good looking design, belt clip, matching box
Cons: rough chisel grind edge, liner lock is steel not titanium (though 90% of knives have steel ones)torx screws needed to disassemble unlike real one with plain Philips head. missing some plastic grip indentations in rear of knife, thumb screw is not all black.
Other: get it, you can draw faster than most other people, the size it big and heavy which is great if you want to tough knife. its well balanced and has good regular grips (reverse grip does not have plastic indentations for friction) a bit of sharpening is all you need to make this knife a true winner. and at this price you cant lose!

Pros: -Very sturdy blade
-Easy to flick out
-Came fairly sharp right out of the box
Cons: -It may have been sharp, but it was rough
-Handle covered in plastic, but seems fairly strong
-Belt clip is rather annoying
Other: If you'd like a knife, I'd get this one. It's a fairly good build and I'd recommend it to anybody. Will be even better once I figure out how to remove the belt clip.

Pros: I originally bought this knife because I love wave-opening knives - particularly Emerson knives - and I wanted to examine the quality of this Emerson Commander replica. Having thoroughly tested this knife, I must admit that I am pleasantly surprised and satisfied by this knife's excellent build quality. When I first received this knife, the blade was in perfect condition, was razor-sharp straight out of the box and had zero blemishes. Overall, the knife is well-built and has excellent fit and finish. For those who don't know, the wave function on this knife is the "horn" notch just above the thumbwheel. This knife is meant to be carried inside a pocket and when the knife is pulled out from the pocket, the wave opener is meant to snag the pocket seam and automatically deploy the blade as it leaves your pocket; making it perfect for self-defence and situations where you need to open the knife with one hand. I've tested the wave opener on this knife repeatedly and every single time it opens the blade perfectly.
Cons: The liner lock is a bit "soft" but still manages to lock the blade firmly in place with no play at all. The thumbwheel screw is not black like the rest of the blade but this is minor aesthetic gripe and I really can't think of anything wrong with this knife. Obviously, this knife does not have the same material and build quality as the genuine Emerson Commander but it's still an impressive knife for only $8.
Other: This knife is a replica of Emerson's popular Commander knife which normally sells for approximately $200 USD. If you cannot afford the real knife but still want to fool your friends, this knife is the next best thing.

Pros: Fantastic copy of $175 Emerson Commander folding knife. Yes, we would all like to own one of these great knives, but honestly, with such an expesive knife in your pocket, would you be afraid of losing it? I have some premium Benchmades, Spydercos, and Bucks, and they are wonderful knives, but I am about half terrified to lose one them either in my volunteer firefighter/EMT job, or work around my place in the country. This knife fits the bill perfectly, a good quality build knife, all the features of a $150 knife, and not the worry about losing it all the time. Just buy 2 or 3 extras and keep them sharp. Knive came sharp, everything tight, and looking like a good quality build job.
Cons: The steel/heat treating probably isnt up to the original Emerson, but some of my premium grade knives don't hold up that well either.
Other: Great knife, great build quality, and a cheaper alternative to paying $150 for a Emerson Commander, and then too worried about losing it or breaking it while in use. I hope DX extreme will carry copies of the Surefire folding knifes next.

Pros: Great knife for all around use, 100% authentic replica of the Real Emerson Commander BT wave knife. Just google it to see how great this replica measures up to the original. Comes sharp out of the box, and i plan to send one to my dad who is serving abroad, although he has an original emerson CQC-10
Cons: none, just the shipping took long, two weeks, but that's normal coming from Hong Kong
Other: Buy it, and you wont regret it especially if you want a perfect self defense knife or need to replace your swiss army "JUNK" knife for a knife that works and intimidates......hahaha
