Pros: . Very solidly-built, substantial
. Four function LED switch: 1st press lights front two LEDs to allow you to position item for examination, 2nd press turns off front LEDs, turns on one underneath LED to put light on magnified item, 3rd press turns off single white LED and lights the uV LED, 4th press is OFF position.
. Both single white and uV LEDs light-up item well, the uV is good for checking currency with a uV strip security feature. Will also detect pet and people stains.
. There is an included ball-point pen which inserts in the rear edge of the unit, I can't imagine why it's included!

Cons: . The ball-point pen is initially hard to remove, but it gets easier after a few tries.
. The two front and the two underneath LEDs protrude a bit, you don't want to slam this item down on a hard surface or apply too much weight to it when it's not encased!

Other: A very good magnifier for smaller items (not the size for reading books with), with an ultraviolet LED for checking public bedding where you stay and, of course, a backup pen!
