Pros: This is my first ceramic knife, so I compared it with my Zwilling knives. To me it looks like a perfect tool for slicing tomatoes. It does an excellent job in cutting fruits and vegetables.

Cons: The only con is the absence of metal in the handle. Must be because of cost cutting. Also the knife is very light.

Other: Good choice for a delicate tomato slicer. And it's time to think about a ceramic knife sharpener.

  • decievingly sharp...

Pros: very lightweight! well balanced. nice grip on the hard rubber handle. holds edge for a long time. handles light butchering with ease. goes through chicken, pork, and beef very nicely. handles delicate cutting like deboning a chicken and butterfly cuts on pork and beef.

Cons: doesn't feel that sharp to the touch. won't shave arm hair very well...... but it will split your hand open when not paying attention. it is VERY SHARP. as the title reads, it is decievingly sharp. having in mind that it won't shave hair is misleading. it's not meant to shave hair... it's meant to cut meat. our hands are meat. it does that very well, so that's a pro i guess. needs to be shapened with a "diamond" stone.[but not before using it for quite some time] not a multitasker! it's ceramic, it will shatter if used wrong.

Other: great price on a ceramic blade. it's a specialized knife. not meant for general kitchen duty. keep that in mind and this will be a knife you won't want to be without.

  • Pretty good knife

Pros: - VERY sharp. - Has (so far) stayed sharper far longer than my (cheap) steel knives. - Price is a fraction of what they want for these kinds of knives locally.

Cons: - Very fragile and easy to chip/nick the blade. - VERY sharp. (Yep, it's a pro and con. Sliced myself pretty good..) - Can't be sharpened.

Other: - For the price, worth the investment. If you can keep it safe from chips or nicks it will certainly last longer than a steel knife.

Pros: Cheap and a nice size. I've been using this as a paring knife for months now and it works very well. It's the sharpest knife I have and I didn't have to sharpen it or anything when I got it.
I use it about every day to do basic kitchen paring knife stuff and it grips well and cuts even better. Doesn't look cheap once it's out of the package.

    Cons: none really

Other: It's totally worth getting a ceramic from DX. I think they have larger ones now, but I'm going to stick with a smaller sized paring knife. I have a larger steel knife for larger work. Totally worth having in the drawer.

Pros: who can write fivehundred characters, if there is just one thing to say: it´s perfect, it´s razorsharp, it´s the perfect gift. - and if it breaks; well - was at least worth the money.....rubberized handy grip makes it safe to use..did not dare put it in the dishwasher, anyway

Cons: but hopefully not in the con´s....well:could have some protection for fingers between blade and grip...

Other: buy it - you will be satisfied!

  • Very handy knife.

Pros: When I received the knife, I'm was a little disappointed. Seemed to me that my newly sharpened steel knives cut better than this. However, passed for four months and I have repeatedly sharpening steel knives, but this ceramic knife is still sharp, the same as the first day. This knife is very comfortable grip and shape of the blade. He is very lightweight. He did not want to let go. My wife was using it more often than others. And at the same time he is not more expensive than conventional steel knives.

Cons: This knife has no guard and ricasso, but it is not a problem for kitchen knives.

Other: I bought this knife on appro and was satisfied. While I do not know whether I will buy other ceramic knives in the future.

    Pros: Sharp. Looks really stylish.

Cons: None that I can think of yet.

Other: For this price I get a semi-good iron knife in the local store. Do I want to buy a ceramic one in the same store I'll have to pay 4 times the price of this (atleast).

Pros: These knives can be quite expensive! The build quality and comfort of the grip surpassed my expectations. great for pearing small fruit chopping olives etc. easy to care for, as it washes clean with water.

Cons: did not realize that the entire knife was 6 inches. I will buy a larger one in the future.

Other: Buy it! it is sharp, comfortable, and a great price! i like the black color also

Pros: cuts like butter, i should have got the chef knife too , next order ...

Cons: depends on you cutting style - some things will always require steel, boning knife , clever , etc , far as actual cons none really for the price - but to list something maybe a bigger handle and a cit more of a guard

Other: if you use it right you will love this knife - some things need steel but for slicing an chopping this is a great thing to have, got one for my mom and aunt and they really like then too
