Chic Chefs Horizontal Ceramic Peeler (Assorted Color)

Pros: Dirt cheap peeler, I think no-one else sells ceramic kitchen gadgets at this price!? The peeler is sharp, indeed.

Cons: The grip feels a bit awkward, and the ergonomics could be better..

Other: Don't waste your money on the cheap K-mart metallic peelers, but waste them in this ultra-cool ceramic peeler instead! No, really, I'm very happy with the product.

Pros: - Feels better in the hand than sku 26869, which was a little awkward to use. - The wider, flatter layout of the handle is easier to grip and work with. - Ceramic is supposed to stay sharper, longer, so should be good for a few years (hopefully)

Cons: - The blade seemed to be a bit off for me in the degree of tilt. I think it needed another mm or so on the 'stoppers' to keep the blade from going completely flat (and then it stops peeling). This is alleviated by peeling hard (lots of pressure), though, so not a big deal for me.

Other: - Good peeler. I'd recommend it over sku 26869 for sure, especially since this sku is cheaper, I believe.

Pros: Nice set of peelers. I ordered three of them and recieverd all black ones, with i like a lot.
Blades are very sharp, but i haven't cut myself (yet :-) )

Cons: It peels rather thick, for patato's to thick in my opinion. So i stick to my old metal one for that.

Other: I use the peeler a lot to make patato slices for making my own chips.
Use them almost every day, and haven't noticed any loss of its scharpening.

Pros: The peeler works well, handle feels comfortable in hand, and the blade's sharpness works okay for peeling potatos

Cons: Doesn't really work any better than steel counterpart thou. The blade is not very sharp out of the box (thou I'm very picky about the sharpness of my cutting instruments, if it can't shave it's dull). From what I can tell the edge is simply formed in the shaping process but not actually sharpened.

Other: Get it if you want to try ceramic blade, but otherwise stick with steel peelers.

Pros: - The blade is very sharp although it seems very fragile.
- It fits its purpose for peeling.
- It is easy to clean but the blade might get colored with the food.
- Handle color is very vivid and has a gloss nice finish.

Cons: - Blade is too thin. It seems it will break if it falls on the floor.
- Do not keep with with metal stuff, white blade gets lots of silver scracthes wich are hard to get rid of.
- It should have a box so it could be kept in a drawer with metal stuff.

Other: It's a nice buy considering the price. It serves its purpose.

Pros: I have been using this for a year now and it remains as sharp as the day I first received it. It seems to work better on long fruits and vegetables rather than rounded ones in my experience. That is carrots rather than apples. I thought it would serve to skin tomatoes but alas I have not had success with this. All this is moot however because as recent dinner guest asked if she could help in the kitchen, used this peeler and eas so taken with it, she literally took it home with her. That is with my reluctant blessings.

Cons: personally I would prefer a straight handle more like the "traditional" peelers but that is my own bias. I get the impression that maybe the blade does not move or rotate as freely in use as it might.

Other: It will not rust thats for sure and if the shape fits you it is a good price for anything ceramic.

Pros: Sharp enough to do the job of peeling.
Cheap peeler, so cheap in fact that it is now in the price range of disposable items.
Ceramic blade + plastic handle = no rusting.
Nice width of handle for good grip, important for peeling jobs.
Straight edge blade makes it safer than serrated blade peelers.
Hole on the handle for easy hanging on hooks.
Blade is well attached to handle so it doesn't rotate around dangerously.

Cons: None.

Other: While the ceramic blade looks strong and sturdy, it is advisable to handle with care and not abuse it unnecessarily if meant for kitchen use. Well worth the price.

Pros: Just a vegetable peeler, with no metalic parts. Easy to clean after use (just some water).

Cons: To say something, it peels off 1-2 mm each time you pass it. It can be more than usual peelers As all the ceramic knifes, if it fells from the table it can be broken.

Other: If you need a cheap peeler for potatoes or carrots or whatever you need to peel, just buy it. It won't get ore after forgetting it on the shink for 3 days ;)

Pros: Great tool , you should give it a try. Do not hesitate it, hesitation is for the weak. I am impressed about quality of that material, very good for use to all kind of service on a kitchen, oranges will be cleaned at a glance. Very, very good quality, buy it, you will be happy
