  • Fits Eastward YJ U2 CLone

    posted by rizki_p on 10:59:31 G9T 15/09/2007 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Fits Eastward YJ U2-Clone SKU 1285.

Cons: Not plug and play, need soldering and a tricky on too. Unlike Ultrafire C2 clicky module which is swapable without soldering.

Other: Now you know this one will fit SKU 1285 because i just changed mine.

  • Cheap switches

    posted by johnny13oi on 19:48:26 G11T 02/11/2007 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Really cheap for the switches and does basically what it is supposed to do. Switch switches between two contacts, so this can have two modes.

Cons: The switching is a little different. One click will yield a connection to one pin. Another will have no connections. And then another will connect with the other pin. And then all over again.

Other: These are really cheap switches that can be used for many flashlights and can serve as replacements in the case that something happens to the one you already have.

  • Clicky Switch for Flashlights

posted by ahorton on 20:57:37 G9T 18/09/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Nice and small. The clicking action feels strong.

Cons: I destroyed one because I wasn't thinking. My soldering iron was too hot and the plastic holding the tab in place only lasted about 1 second.

Other: As described. I'll buy more in the future.

  • Nice switches for 2 mode devices

posted by thefezman on 14:24:50 G12T 04/12/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: * Inexpensive price
    * Great for making a 2 mode light (IE, Cree emitter on one mode, 5mm LEDs for the low mode, or a separate lower power mode for the Cree)
    * Nice strong click feeling

Cons: * Wish the leads were longer, very difficult to solder to anything other than a PCB
    * Very easy to melt the plastic while trying to solder a wire to the switch
    * No simple way to mount the switch to a flashlight body

Other: Great if you have a project in mind that uses a PCB, and can support the switch properly, otherwise the flexing will break the solder joints on the PCB.

    Pros: Inexpensive price, very cheap!!!!
great for any project that require a 2 mode switch! (like diy flashlight!!!!!!)
Nice strong click feeling, sounds very durable!
the shipment take 14 days to italy!!!

Cons: If the soldering iron is too hot, the plastic will melt very rapidly.
Don't solder for more than few seconds.
This thing is fine for PCB other apps may be difficult!

Other: I'll buy another stock in the future.

Pros: I ordered them a few months ago. Arrived fast enough. No special package-but arrived save. Mode- ON/OFF/OFF/ON. It supriced me. They are easy to open, so i modifided them. Simply solved the lager arms together,so i got the ON/OFF mode :)- I hope it helps sombody ;)

Cons: You need a good solving iron, otherwise if you hold to long the platic housing melts :( be cerfull and fast :)

Other: If you DIY things and need switches-i recomend thies. Easy to use. sturdy build....just great!!!

  • Good replacement switches for 18WG-T60 XM-LT6 1-Mode flashlight

posted by CRYSTALGROWER on 20:40:28 G12T 19/12/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Good replacement switches for 18WG-T60 XM-LT6 2-Mode flashlight (silver anodized Ultrafire)

Cons: Delicate but works well if you are conservative with the soldering iron heat - otherwise the plastic will begin to meld and the internal connections suffer. This is probably why I have been needing to change out about 20% of the silver flashlights I bought because the manufactures probably overheated the switches.

Other: I would recommend highly that you buy this switch if you have a need for it.

  • a little bit hard to press

posted by oinkwaste on 15:45:42 G1T 10/01/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: they are cheap they are cheap and they are cheap (need anything more to say?) ah yes they also work as advertised

Cons: a bit hard to press, can make your life a little bit difficult turning them on :) so if you mount them make sure you mount / solder them quite good as they require quite some force :)

Other: Its quite common that you have a project around that misses the on off switch. Pulling the plug or taking of the batteries is a solution but far from an elegant one . when this is the case you need a switch button :)

  • Interruptores de 3 posiciones

posted by jestdi on 08:35:15 G3T 08/03/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Other: Ojo, no son interruptores ON-OFF
