What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Three positions and off; click once to cycle to the next position.
Firm switching action gives positive feedback on switching.
Small and compact design means it can be fitted in all sorts of tricky places.
Cons: The plastic case can melt easily if care isn't taken when soldering.
The mechanism has very occasionally tried to jam. A good hit gets it going again. I haven't seen this problem after a bit of use, so maybe the wearing in has done it good.
A little bit tricky to work out which pins go with which mode, especially if already installed. (That might be just me.)
Other: Incredibly handy for making multi-mode torches.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This switch is a very small 4 position selector switch that can be used for many applications. The selector pole alternately connects to 1 of 3 poles everytime you push the button. The fourth position represents off.
These switches are cheap and are good for DIY projects. Uses are only limited to your imagination and to the mechanical and electrical ratings.
Cons: The switch is a bit flimsy and does not inspire confidence in it's durability and reliability. As was also mentioned, care must be taken in soldering these because the plastic parts may melt.
Other: I would recommend this for DIY projects
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Simple to use. Seems like it is pretty well made.
Cant beat the price.
Works well for my 2 mode light.
Cons: Not really too many that I can think of off the top of my head except that I can think of at this time except, they could have included instructions or a diagram on the switch to show pin location.
Other: Good quality switch for the price. Would have paid that for one.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It is a switch with 4 positions. Every time you click on it it switches to the next position. One of the positions is off. Very easy to use.
Cons: The building quality is not perfect, but what do you expect for that price? They do the work.
Other: If you need some kind of button for your electronic projects, buy some of them. You will find a way to use them.
