Color Nutrient and Moisturizing Crystal Magic Soil 5-Pack (Hydroponic)

Pros: You put them in water and they grow. I really haven't had them long enough to tell you much more. I have a plant that has been growing in water that is now sitting in a class full of these and it works fine. If you want a mix of colours there's no reason why you can't combine the packets. 400ml of these is enough for a medium size vase or a small container for a plant (I used about 2/3 of them for the drinking glass I put my plant in.

Cons: I'm making this up :-) But I guess if you want a large amount of a single colour you'll have to buy multiple packs.

The other one of these (the three pack) seems to have more in each pack.

Other: Look like a good deal. I'm trying them as a medium for germinating some large seeds I have.

Pros: Wow! They are lovely! They are cute! They look awesome! They are friggin' cheap! They feed your plants (at least this is what the package claims)

Cons: Uhmm, none.

Other: Get them. They are cheap and they look good.

Pros: They are very cool. They grow fast and doesn't take much to fill a bowl. Cheap and very easy to use. Very safe.

Cons: Not to easy to handle when they fall on the ground.

Other: Make sure to use a very big bowl at first then when they are all big enough you can drain the excess water and move them in a smaller bowl with your plant.

They are hard to pickup when you drop them but they are fun to use.

Pros: - Very easy to use: just put them in water
- It's cool to see them growing
- Diameter is about 8 mm
- Come in various colours
- Can use them with flowers in a vase
- Very cheap
- Decorative use in various ways: in a vase with flowers, in a scale on a table, can be surrounded by candles, you can even grow plants in it (I tried it with bamboo)

Cons: None

Other: A great product, for a price that is even better. Various people have been asking me where I bought these.

Pros: Very easy to use, just add water and watch ;)

Cons: The only con I see is that there is only one color per bag, so for the product picture that shows a vase filled with multi-colored crystals you will need to open all packages and take a few crystals from each package. Personally I'd liked it better if each package would have some of each color.

Other: Looking for something cheap as a gift? Than this is what you want.

Pros: Got these for Lucky Bamboo plants we have, and they really look much better than rocks or plain vases. In clear containers to show them off, it should also be easier to tell when you need to add water.

Cons: These are like super balls - they bounce! You have to be careful emptying the packets in a bowl or other container - add some water first... without water some of the tiny beads bounced out of a 6 inch tall bowl. They bounce after they've soaked up water too, though not as much, and can be hard to handle.

Other: While they don't provide the same support as rocks or stones, these really look nice and I'd highly recommend them. I'd be telling everyone I know to buy them, except we're planning on buying more and using them in gifts.

Pros: Comes pre-packaged in 5 separate bags of beads so you can come up with your own color schemes.
Fun to watch these balls swell up and expand from tiny opaque beads to bouncy clear marbles!
Makes a great gift for anyone who loves plants.
Much cleaner than having plants in potting soil inside the house...I hate the mess, the smell, and the potential bugs that are in potting soil. These balls are much cleaner, odorless, and nice to look at.

Cons: Not a real con but I was hoping that there would be a mix of colors in each of the 5 bags so I can give them out as gifts. However, each bag contains a separate color so there are different pros to this, as posted above.

Other: Well priced novelty items that actually serves a useful purpose. Can't go wrong.

Pros: These are just cool, when you hydrate these, they instantly start to grow. when you mix the clear ones with the coloured ones, the clear ones are almost perfectly transparent and make the coloured ones look like they are suspended in the water.

Cons: i dunno if it is too healthy for the plant, i haven't tried it long term with an actual plant yet so i don't know what the effects will actually be.

Other: A cool item that can intrigue your guests, and they just feel cool!!...yes i touched them...who wouldn't.... hee hee

Pros: - Really good product. It starts to get bigger in the same moment when you put it in water. And the final size is unbelievable if you compare with the initial size.
- Colors are great and do a very good look when you put then in a glass pot.
- You may replace real soil for it (but not for all kind of plants). So, you will get a cleaner environment.
- 5 packs is great to make a beautiful glass pot. You may mix colors in you preference!
- Really, really cheap!

Cons: I couldnt find a "cons" for this product. Price and quality are great!

Other: People like to see it and ask how the plant may live in it!

Pros: Great that one can choose the color now. Instead of that mixed 3-pack. They swell like crazy these pellets. One bag that contains not a full teaspoon of pellets will yield almost one litre!
They look like opaque in tone, but when they are finished they are crystal clear! The transparent ones are almost impossible to see in clean water.

Cons: When you buy the 5-pack you get five bags with different colors in each bag. But DX was a bit lazy and only took pictures of the 3-pack, that has mixed colors.
I think that the buyer needs to know this.

Other: Great item at resonable price.
The colors I got were: yellow, red/pink, blue, tranparent and green.
