Colorful 3-LED Wireless Remote Control Door Bell (40-Meter Range 36-Melody)

Pros: Realy good dorbell, very long battery life. and 2 room range. I use it for work. It used 150 times a day but battery didnt finish from 1,5 month. Very nice melodies and adjustable volume.you can select long and short melodies. don't give more but it.

Cons: nothing.

Other: buy it.

Pros: - Plays lots of tunes so you are bound to find one you like. - Loudest sound level is fairly loud so both my wife and I can hear it upstairs even though we are both hard of hearing.

Cons: - You can only step through the tune options in one direction so if you skipped past the tune you want to use you need to go all the way around to find it again. - For those with normal hearing, it could use a couple of more volume options. - the outside unit is a bit wide for most doorway trim in my area. - Wish it came with mounting screws as well as the double-faced foam tape. That way, I would have more mounting options.

Other: Overall, I am happy with this unit. DX has huge number of similar doorbells at several price points. Everyone that has visited since I installed it has marveled at it. I am ordering a 2nd unit for my brother-in-law.

Pros: * Plays lots of known tunes and a classic two tone ring bell. Didn't count all them though.
* Has three leds, red, green and blue that blink and fade in a nice and cool pattern when activated.
* The tunes are cycled pressing the first button and volume can be changed in steps with the second button.
* The transmitter has a red led that lights under the translucent blue plastic cover when the button is pressed.
* The range seems good enough for use all around the house.
* It's small and light.
* The receiver has two shaped holes to fit the head of a screw attached to the wall in two different positions.
* There is included a piece of double tape to attach the transmitter to a wall if you prefer not to use screws in the back plate holes.
* The RX uses just two AA batteries and draws 0.5mA @ 3V while iddle.

Cons: * The transmitter battery holder is as shown in the photo and looks a bit weak. The whole buttom looks ugly.
* The receiver buttons are not very comfortable to use but you won't be pushing them all day anyway but are good pcb mounted microswitches.
* Doesn't have channel selection so a transmitter will trigger all receivers unless you retune them manually. (Didn't check the frequency)
* Very simple receiving circuitry.
* At maximun volume there is some noticeable distortion in the audio output but the lowest setting is good enough for me.

Other: * Good value for the price. Half the price of local ones and more functionality for most people.
