Cons: This is a tool contact, so that no further serves to cables inside walls and manposterias. Little penetrating power. Se trata de una herramienta de contacto, por lo que no sirve para seguir cables dentro de paredes y manposterias. Poco poder de penetración.

Other: An essential tool if you are a telephone, installation of electrical networks or porters. Excellent price and quality. Una herramienta fundamental si te dedicas a la telefonía, instalacion de redes o de porteros electricos. Excelente precio y calidad.

Pros: Good construction, can handle being shorted across mains power (it protected me from an unexpectedly shorted wire!) even at 220V! When the probe is close enough, you can easily hear the tone. Although it seems made for telephone and network wires, works just fine on 220V power wiring. Makes it very easy to quickly determine if a given junction is relevant or not.

Cons: Not sensitive enough to trace wires through concreate. That is, when the wires are inside pipes inside concrete. Generates a flat tone, instead of a warbling one, so it's sometimes hard to tell if the probe is detecting the signal or just getting interference.

Other: If you're trying to figure out the wiring of your home, or debug a short, this tool helps a lot.
